Within the grounds, you will find stunning woodland walks, a private lake and even a games barn - great for those rainy days or nights in. Sleeping four, it’s a delightful seaside escape for small families and couples alike.

Approached via external stairs, this cosy cottage offers rooms that are packed with character. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is spacious with exposed wooden beams and a wood burner set into a brick open fire, which turns the cottage into a cosy hideaway on cold nights. There are two neutrally decorated and comfortable bedrooms - one double, and one twin which is accessed down cottage style stairs. Meanwhile, just outside in the pretty shared courtyard, you have your own set of garden furniture for dining alfresco, plus gardens for you to explore.

No trip to this part of the world is complete without a beach day, and here you are spoilt for choice; the closest lie over the border in neighbouring Cornwall, with Bude (15 miles) and Widemouth Bay (18 miles) both popular with locals and tourists alike. In contrast, Dartmoor is also within easy reach (20 miles), offering some of the most beautiful countryside scenery and walks in Devon. The nearby market towns and villages of Holsworthy (5.5 miles) and Launceston (10 miles) offer an array of pubs, cafes and shops selling local produce, while the Milky Way (26 miles), and Launceston Steam Railway (9.5 miles) both make for great days out.
