A beautiful place to stay. We had everything and more provided. We would definitely go back again. It was so quiet all you heard were the sheep and cows. We were so fortunate to be there during the week of the eclipse. The sky was so clear that we could see the stars every night. Our dogs were welcomed with treats, dog beds, food bowls and poo bags. We were welcomed with a welcome basket of scones, jam, cream and juice a really lovely welcome treat. If you want to just get away and relax this is the place to go.

We had a lovely stay at South Barn, a clean, well equipped and spacious cottage. Communication with the owner excellent, any questions answered quickly. We appreciated the welcome pack, and plentiful supplies of liquid soap, dishwasher tablets etc Some of the roads to the cottage are quite narrow, but this is the case for many areas in Devon. We visited Westward-Ho beach, RHS Rosemoor, , Alder Vineyard, Lydford Gorge. Eating places included Castle Inn Lydford, Lewtrenchard Manor -(Nice coffee and lunch), Brothers (Okehampton), The New Inn. We were lucky with the weather, a very pleasant break in a peaceful location, thank you.
