Broke down about 10 miles from The Linhay. Gave Karen a ring just to let her know we would be arriving late and she immediately offered to come and pick me and the 3 dogs up. Karen picked us up and my husband stayed with the car. We had no car for nearly 3 days but Gavin took me to Waitrose do do some shopping and they contacted people regarding hiring a car. The accommodation was lovely and cosy and the bed was so comfortable, could get us 2 and 3 dogs on the bed and still have room!!! A lovely place to stay and Karen and Gavin are the perfect hosts. They went above and beyond.

The owners, Gavin and Karen, lived next door and are very helpful and friendly, but not at all intrusive. The property is very spacious and comfortable and has plenty of light. The front door (now a âstable doorâ) allows the top half to be open for more light. Brilliant forceful shower with plenty of hot water and a bath for a soak after those long walks. Garden to the side of the house with seating allowing privacy and somewhere to sit outside in good weather. The only problem we had was the internet connection was bad and we both needed to buy more data and rely on internet connection in local pubs, cafes, etc to catch up on emails. Not a problem if you want a total break from tech, but we were reliant on it for news from our petsitter. Would definitely stay again.

The accommodation was just as described, amazingly comfortable and cosy. Well located for exploring North Devon and Cornwall. The accommodation is located in a quiet area to relax after a day out . We will definitely be returning as my Wife took a real shine to the Donkeyâs at the farm and it was great value for money.
