Located in Golant, a popular village with locals and visitors on the picturesque upper reaches of the Fowey River. Once here, immerse yourself in village life, vibrant at times although at an altogether slower pace. Enjoy stunning walks following the river as it meanders downstream. Both within 6 miles, visit the impressive Restormel Castle and the harbour town of Charlestown which featured in the Poldark series, a perfect place for lunch or to relax on the quay. Just 2.5 miles away is Fowey, boasting some restaurants and individual boutique stores. Attractions in the area include The Eden Project, The Shipwreck Centre, Lost Gardens of Heligan, and National Trust properties including nearby Lanhydrock house, all within 6 miles. An ideal hideaway for couples or solo travellers, this delightful hut is nestled privately, close to the owners residence. Step inside via the decking area into this beautiful shepherd's hut. You ll find yourself in the perfectly designed and comfortable living and sleeping area which has a wood burner to snuggle up beside on chilly nights. It s the perfect space for relaxing after a day of exploring. At the end of the day, retire to the double bed which forms part of this compact yet perfectly appointed space. The little kitchen is also beautifully presented and has everything you'll need for a romantic escape. There's also a stylish and compact en suite shower room with WC. Heading outside, you'll love spending those warm summers evenings in the private and enclosed garden with a raised decking area and garden furniture, charcoal BBQ and a private hot tub, along with a grassed lawn area. On site, guests can make use of the shared indoor endless pool, sauna, gym, badminton court, table tennis and games room. Although these facilities are for the use of everybody on site, you must book your time in them on arrival. For the more sociable families, there is a bar on site, cleverly created from an old Silo, with outdoor seating. The bar is open every Friday from March to October for drinks and food, with occasional live entertainment to which guests will be welcomed with free entry. Decking area with seating and charcoal BBQ. Private hot tub. Off road parking for 1 car. Beach and shop 2 miles, pub within 1 mile. Shared use of indoor endless pool, sauna and games room. Bar and events space on site (Bar Silo Cornwall) with outdoor tables, when there is live music guests will be invited to attend free of charge. Bar open every Friday from March to October and on some special occasions such as New Year, with food sometimes served. Venue licenced for music up to 22.45 only. Music can be heard from the hut.
