The property is located in Golant, a popular village with locals and visitors on the picturesque upper reaches of the River Fowey. Once here, immerse yourself in the slower pace of village life. Enjoy stunning walks following the river as it meanders downstream. Within 6 miles, visit the impressive Restormel Castle and the harbour town of Charlestown which featured in the Poldark series, a perfect place for lunch or to relax on the quay. Just 2.5 miles away is Fowey, boasting some restaurants and individual boutique stores. Attractions within 6 miles include The Eden Project, The Shipwreck Centre, Lost Gardens of Heligan, and National Trust’s Lanhydrock house. An ideal hideaway for couples or solo travellers, this delightful hut is nestled privately, close to the owner's residence.

Step inside via the decking area into this beautiful shepherd's hut. You’ll find yourself in the perfectly designed and comfortable living and sleeping area which has a wood burner to snuggle up beside on chilly nights. It’s the perfect space for relaxing after a day of exploring. At the end of the day, retire to the double bed which forms part of this compact yet perfectly appointed space. The little kitchen is also beautifully presented and has everything you'll need for a romantic escape. There's also a stylish and compact en-suite shower room with WC.

Heading outside, you'll love spending those warm summer evenings in the private and enclosed garden, with a raised decking area, garden furniture, charcoal BBQ, and a private hot tub, along with a grassed lawn area. On site, guests can make use of the shared indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym, badminton court, table tennis and games room. Although these facilities are for the use of everybody on site, you must book your time slot on arrival. For sociable families, there is a bar on site, cleverly created from an old silo, with outdoor seating. The bar is open every Friday from March to October for drinks and food, with occasional live entertainment to which guests will be welcomed with free entry.
