The Stable in Bideford is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the quiet village location, the thoughtful touches by the hosts, including a welcoming cake, and the property's suitability for families. The cosy atmosphere and the presence of outdoor play areas add to the charm, making it a recommended stay for visitors.
Guests consistently describe the property as spotless and immaculate, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the cottage.
The property is appreciated for its tranquil village setting. However, some guests note the narrow country lanes and the necessity of a car due to limited public transport, which slightly affects the convenience aspect of the location.
Reviewers find the beds very comfortable and the living areas cosy, with special mentions of reclining sofas and a warm atmosphere even without the need for a log burner.
The property is well-equipped with kitchen essentials, toys for children, and outdoor areas. Some guests mention that certain aspects are a bit dated and that Wi-Fi is limited to certain areas, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with gestures like baked cakes, wine, and flowers on arrival. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a lovely couple of days stay at The Stable. It was clean, warm, cosy (even without lighting the log burner) and very well equipped. We didn’t use/visit the local amenities, hence the neutral rating. Would definitely recommend, thank-you.
