Sitting next to the original train station, and built in 1893 on the Primrose Line, many of the original signs and features have been retained. This is an ideal base to explore the beautiful area of South Devon. Set on the outskirts of Loddiswell village, The Signal Box has been lovingly converted, keeping its charm but with modern convenience inside.
Signal Box Cottage has an ‘upside down’ layout, the open plan kitchen and lounge makes the most of the lovely views with wood burning stove and fully fitted kitchen. The spiral staircase leads down to a large double bedroom and a single bedroom with pull-out bed.
Lovely gardens and walks straight from your doorstep and with the river running alongside the land, this is the ideal spot for lovers of the great outdoors. Outside you can enjoy a lovely BBQ sitting right next to the old railway line and if you choose not to travel too far, the nearby Café in the garden centre serves up some lovely meals. Those interested in The Railway Heritage and fishing will adore this property, whilst those wishing to shop can explore fabulous Kingsbridge.

If you want to stay somewhere a bit different then this is the place for you! The accommodation was to a very high standard and in a beautiful setting which is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners, they were there if you needed them but very respectful of our privacy. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday at the Signal Box Cottage and would highly recommend it to others.
