About this property

A magnificent waterside Georgian house extended and decorated to stunning effect with fabulous entertaining space that makes the most of its creek-side location.

Complemented by separate guest accommodation, Vine House is set in approximately 1.75 acres of delightful gardens with a secluded terrace and elevated sun deck.

Reserve your stay in Vine House and prepare to be immersed in the beautiful landscapes of the Salcombe countryside. Built at the head of Batson Creek, this stunning Georgian house offers guests a true taste of luxury with its unique blend of tranquility and adventure.

While the impressive, traditional structure of Vine House remains, the interior underwent extensive refurbishment in the early 2000’s with the aim to transform the house into a luxurious home. Today, Vine House is one of the most popular holiday homes in Salcombe, and guests return time and time again to take advantage of its prime location and picturesque setting.

Surrounded by a blanket of gorgeous greenery, the main house is a sight to behold. But this is just the beginning. Step inside and explore the delights that feature inside Vine House: a vast open plan kitchen equipped with top-of-the-range appliances, 3 large bedrooms combining comfort and style and a grand living area with captivating creekside views bursting through the glass patio doors.

The Sail Loft and The Boat House contain separate guest accommodation: two quaint cottages that combine traditional charm with contemporary chic.

Make use of the spacious kitchen to prepare a delicious meal, or have one of the well-renowned private chefs to cook up a feast for all the family. When the sun is shining, we recommend enjoying your meal in the private courtyard outside, where climbing plants decorate the steep walls and a shell-shaped fountain streams cooling water. In the courtyard, you will notice a small stone staircase leading up towards the roof: follow these steps and find yourself on a hidden sun deck, ideal for lounging in the Salcombe sun.

If the clouds come out, Vine House has got you covered: choose from a gorgeous indoor dining area inside the main house or a stylish, sheltered set up in the renovated piggery at the end of the garden.

While the children make the most of the lavish, landscaped gardens for hide and seek or even a teddybears picnic, take this opportunity to truly relax and enjoy a warm bath in the family bathroom as you gaze out the window, soaking up the sights on the banks of Batson Creek.

Smoking not allowed inside. Sorry, no pets.

Please note that on Mondays and Fridays there will be a gardener working from 8am – 5pm with the exception of bank holidays. We are assured that no noisy machinery will be used while guests are in residence, and he will keep a respective distance from the house at all times.

Salcombe Finest presented the house so impeccably that even my cynical ex-hotelier wife could find no fault with it's preparedness.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Vine House. The house was superb, clean, well equipped and really comfortable.
