About this property

With estuary views, a garden and a total of four bedrooms, 1 Combehaven is a fantastic three-storey townhouse situated within a short walk of Salcombe’s bustling restaurants, upmarket shops and famous waterside. This property has a modern granite kitchen with an open plan dining area, coal-effect gas fire and chic, nautical decor. The lounge boasts two comfortable, two-person sofas, a coffee table and French doors onto the balcony, with views over Salcombe towards the estuary and countryside beyond.

Four bedrooms in total, the first is a King-size with an en suite featuring a Bette steel bath and power shower over. The second, a children’s bunk room, is adjacent to the master bedroom. The third bedroom is a double (ground floor), and the final is a twin room with two white-framed single beds, located on the first floor. There is a separate shower room on the first floor with a power shower. A cloakroom is located on the ground with a w.c and wash basin.

On the ground floor, doors from the dining area open up into a fantastic garden, with a table and chairs for al fresco dining, which enjoy the view over Salcombe’s estuary. There are two parking spaces for this property, one in front of the other, at the property.

Salcombe is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea. There are several pretty beaches within a short distance, including North Sands and South Sands, plus the coves East Portlemouth on the opposite side of the estuary, just a short passenger ferry ride away. Also on your doorstep is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, coasteering, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe, take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking on the South West Coast path.

Extremely well equipped. Having 2 parking spaces was a bonus. Would not hesitate to recommend. In terms of positive feedback, we were not left any green bags for the rubbish so had to pop into your office in Salcombe to collect some more. On first impression the house looked spotless and I would say that was about 90% correct. It was only because one of the children lost a toy under the sofa we had to move it to find it... I can only say it could not have been cleaned under the sofas for some time as the dust was very very thick thick. Had we not needed to look under we would not have noticed, but felt the need to mention as the rest of the house was of a very high standard. Also found the beds a little hard, this is down to personal preference and it is impossible to please everyone as we are all different and I do have a very soft bed at home.

Had to buy extra loo roll Bird poop on lounge windows Blown window pane lower bedroom  Sofas uncomfortable and in need of refurbishment Cushions stained and coming apart Decking/balcony needed tidy/clean. Cobwebs on windows Shaving mirror would be useful in either ensuite or shower room. Also hand rail to assist getting in/out of shower would be useful for those slightly less mobile. In general standard of cleaning could have been better. Lower kitchen cupboard fronts dirty and also around oven. Mattresses comfortable but bed frames very squeaky and need some attention. Faint smell of cigarettes on arrival. Clearly other guests not treated accommodation respectfully, water marks/staining on furniture. Mats/coasters have been provided Rattan outside table top disintegrating and seat covers very tired. No welcome pack but kitchen well equipped Maybe just fussy but have stayed in better
