Upon entering the property, you are welcomed into the well-equipped kitchen, housing all the necessities required for family dining There is a sitting room with dining area and a snug for those preferring their own space. Relax in one of the three bedrooms, two of which have king-size beds and one with a super king-size bed, complete with well-appointed en-suites, with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. The master bedroom has a balcony with chairs, perfect for observing the activity in Island Street. Outside, you can enjoy the summer months within the well-kept garden areas complete with outside furniture and BBQ for al fresco dining. The central location means that local amenities can be found within a mere stone’s throw, with the shops and pubs situated within a few minutes' walk. Whilst staying at this property, you will have a number of activities to keep you busy. The beautiful family friendly beaches at South Sands and North Sands are perfect for water sports whether it be swimming, paddle boarding or sailing. Alternatively, you can explore the National Trust property Overbecks, trek up to Start Point Lighthouse or visit the market town of Kingsbridge. 1 Orchard Cottage is the perfect place for your family holiday in Salcombe.

Salcombe is a resort town in the South Hams district of Devon, an ideal base for people who enjoy walking and are looking for a holiday by the sea. Nearby are the two sandy beaches of North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s. Within the town itself there is a large selection of locally sourced seafood, enjoyed within a number of restaurants, pubs and cafés.

    2 parking spaces is a real plus point for Salcombe and accessibility to shops/restaurants and the Co-op exceptional. Every bedroom with its own en-suite is also a big positive.

    Only thing that could have I.proved our stay was to have been able to park both cars in the parking area.

    It is well-situated being a level walk to the Co-op and all the facilities in Salcombe. What it lacks in a view, though pleasant enough, is compensated by the delightful courtyard. It was a luxury to have three en-suite shower rooms, an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs shower room! Also, the owner kindly left a bottle of bubbly which put us straight into holiday mood and was very helpful over the calor gas - thank you! We would book again next year but there are likely to be too many of us.
