Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. While some guests found the cottage to be immaculate, others noted issues with dust, cobwebs, and general cleaning. The property seems to be well-maintained overall, but there is room for improvement in ensuring consistent cleanliness.

The location of the cottage is highly praised for its tranquillity and convenience to Salcombe. Guests have enjoyed the beautiful walks and the proximity to the coastline, making it an ideal spot for those looking to explore the area.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the beds and bedding extremely comfortable. However, some guests mentioned that the lounge chairs could be more comfortable for longer evenings, indicating that while the property is cosy, there is potential for enhanced comfort in the living areas.

Facilities have been met with mixed reactions. The range cooker and additional hob have been points of contention for some guests, while others have managed well. The presence of games, a coffee machine, and a log burning stove are positives, but maintenance issues like wobbly banisters and leaky ceilings have been noted.

The garden was amazing and safe for young children to run around. The games room was an added bonus. The 15 minute walk into Salcombe is ok and is downhill but a steep walk back so might not be ideal for everyone, driving is possible however the lanes are very narrow and reversing is needed at times. The log burner in the lounge is a lovely touch but the sofas are not very comfortable, due to our stay being a summer month this did not really bother us this time. We did have an issue with lights and had to call an electrician out, we had to wait until the following morning so were without lighting for an evening. Parking is sufficient for 2 cars. Signage for the cottage could be improved so is more easily visible. The shed door is hanging off and we had a near miss when opening it. Wifi is good. I would recommend this cottage for a family stay.

The Cottage is stunning, in a great location and beautifully furnished. We loved the well kitted out kitchen. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we would love to return!

It was very clean on arrival and had everything we needed for a self catering holiday. The unusual cooker didn't bother us at all as there are good instuctions provided and we even managed a full roast dinner easily enough. We especially loved the log burning stove in the lounge, the wide variety of books, games and DVDs provided and the beautiful views from the master bedroom. My teenagers spent hours playing table football in the den. It's a lovely 15 minute walk into Salcombe which we did most days but it is steep so might not suit anyone with mobility issues.
