The house was filthy. The floor had grit and dust all over it on every surface. Hadn’t been hoovered or washed. The fridge hadn’t been cleaned in weeks and stank. The bed slats were missing from the end of the bed in the spare room. I had to spend days cleaning the house. When I contacted Sykes to advise they offered a cleaner but only after I had already cleaned. They did send someone out to fix the bed but this took a few days. The owner wasn’t interested at all in dealing with issues and offered no compensation for the state of the house. I was advised I should have left the house as it was and wait for them to send a cleaner. The customer service was appalling. Sykes were unwilling to help in any way. Will never use Sykes again.
