From the well equipped kitchen with its handy dining area, you will find an additional seating area up a few steps.
Wonderful ancient stone stairs twist from the sitting room up to a sweet en suite double bedroom, and the other bedroom, a twin, is up a second flight of stairs from the kitchen. Behind the cottage, you can sit out peacefully in your seating area complete with barbecue, and this forms a useful space for storing surfboards and bikes too. If you don't feel like cooking, wander out to the village inn or visit the little shops to buy delicious fresh Devon produce. This is beautiful countryside around the River Avon, so it’s worth getting out and about to visit picturesque gardens or lacing up your walking boots to explore the valley and the spectacular South West Coast Path.
Thurlestone, Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea offer outstanding beaches for surfing, bodyboarding and spending the day on the sand with the family. For the grown ups, golf and fishing are both easily found in the area. Kingsbridge is a bustling old town where you can shop and eat out beside the river. With its central South Hams location, The Cottage makes an ideal base for getting out and about.
