Riverside Lodge is a contemporary yet welcoming lodge, set within some of the most beautiful woodland that South Devon has to offer. The lodge was designed with relaxation in mind, making it the perfect retreat if you’re after peace and quiet.
Inside, the lodge's modern yet homely furnishings make this an ideal base to relax with the family. Step out onto the decking to enjoy a meal and listen to the birds, or venture slightly further afield to the goat meadow – a great spot for a picnic on a sunny day.
Please note: Short breaks are available anytime of year. These are Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday changeovers.
7 night stays are a Saturday changeover only.

Riverside is the perfect place to enjoy the countryside with children. Enjoy the outdoors before returning to your lodge with crisp linens and home comforts.
There’s plenty to explore in the area surrounding Gara Mill. Slapton Sands is just a short drive away, where you can enjoy a day relaxing on the beach, or join the surfers at nearby Bantham. A trip to Dartmouth is a must, and for something a little different, try your hand at crab fishing on the jetty at Dittisham.

I holidayed at Riverside at Gara Mill with my partner and his Mum and our 2 dogs. We had an excellent stay and the accommodation was superb. A really peaceful location with the river running alongside the lodge. It was fully equipped and everything had been thought of. The location is great for plenty of places and we especially liked Totnes, Dartmouth and Torquay. We may well be back next year!!

If you are wanting a get away that detaches you from the rat race then this is the place to go. With absolutely the signal or, for the time being, no wifi Gara allows you to focus on relaxing, chatting and napping! The accommodation is in great condition and is surrounded by woodland. Unfortunately there are no off road walks close to cabin but a with in a short 8min drive you will be by Slapton Lye or Sands which are stunning. Pubs in Slapton are great and Dartmouth is a short minute 15min drive away if you fancy more choice. My advice would be to take food/drink down with you for the first night as finding the Sainsburys is tricky to find until you get your bearings. Other tip would be to call the manager of te property (which Bluechip text you) before arrival as we didn't and struggled to figure a few things out. Overall, great time and we are both very chilled out. Hot tub for Riverside wouldn't hurt! Ha. Ps. Dog had a great time too!

Had a great time with my partner, location was secluded, property very clean and everything that we needed for our stay AND MORE was provided for us. We were never disturbed and this to me was a bonus : ) The only negative I can find is the lack of internet, this would be a great addition in the future if it is at all possible. All in all a fantastic four nights
