Langston Retreat is available to guests booking Langston House, a beautifully restored Georgian farmhouse that sleeps up to 14 and is just a stone’s throw away from the retreat building. Together, they form a unique pairing, combining the comforts of a luxurious country home, combined with a flexible retreat space that is entirely your own to curate. Whether it’s a yoga retreat, creative residency, wellness weekend or immersive workshop, this is a setting that invites clarity, connection and creativity in equal measure. Step inside the 100m² retreat space and discover an atmosphere of calm and possibility. Flooded with natural light through large double glass doors and framed with sleek timber shutters for added privacy and shade, the space features warm Karndean flooring with underfloor heating throughout. The main area accommodates up to 20 for classes, 80 for seated dinners, or up to 100 for talks and gatherings. There's a Bluetooth-enabled sound system for music and presentations, and facilities include an accessible bathroom, shower, a serving area with bar fridge, coffee machine, kettle, blender, and juicer - ideal for juice bars or tea stations between sessions. A store room houses a fridge, freezer, dishwasher and sink, giving hosts added flexibility.

Outside, the retreat is nestled within the grounds of Langston’s private estate. Step out to a peaceful orchard, follow trails through sun-dappled woodland, or take a quiet break by the lake where wildflowers grow in abundance. The retreat also includes a separate cottage with two bedrooms, sleeping up to four, perfect for visiting chefs, facilitators or team members, and additional parking can be arranged for up to 12 vehicles.

Details you may like to know:

Accessibility The house/retreat is suitable for those with limited mobility and wheelchair users; we want everybody in your group to enjoy their retreat and the house manager would be happy to talk through any concerns/questions you may have before you book.

Parking: There is a very large driveway in front of the main house with ample parking for up to eight vehicles, with two EV chargers

Dogs: Two dogs are very welcome at Langston House Retreat and will love bounding through the sprawling grounds, exploring the woodland trails, and cooling off by the lake. After a day of adventure, they can curl up by the crackling fire, enjoying the same warmth and comfort as the rest of the family in this idyllic countryside retreat. There is a drying area with dog beds and tiled floors, where dogs can dry off before joining the party.

Main House (7 bedrooms in total)

6 bedrooms with zip-link beds (can be arranged as super king-size or split into twins).

1 master bedroom with a fixed king-size bed.

Single occupancy (1 person per room): sleeps 7 people.

Shared occupancy (using twin setups/bed sharing): sleeps up to 13–14 people.

The Byre (2 bedrooms for retreat leaders only)

1 bedroom with zip-link beds (can be arranged as super king-size or split into twins).

1 bedroom with a fixed super king-size bed.

Single occupancy (1 person per room): sleeps 2 people.

Shared occupancy (using twin setups/bed sharing): sleeps up to 3–4 people.

Cinema Room: The cinema room has a 4K smart cinema screen with HD surround sound, streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other apps, scene lighting, electric blackout cinema blinds, tiered cinema seats, velvet sound cloud ceilings, popcorn machine and drinks fridge.

Stable: Please enquire should you wish to bring a horse - a paddock is possible adjacent.

Indoor Heated Swimming Pool: Lockable from the main house. Opening out onto the sunny pool terrace, the pool is 1.45 metres deep and all one level. Sun loungers, comfortable seating, audio system, shower area and separate cloakroom are provided.

Audio System: An audio system operates throughout the entire ground floor, including all living areas, the swimming pool and pool terrace.

Kitchen: The kitchen features dual hide-and-slide Neff ovens, an Aga, a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, a smart fridge freezer with an ice maker and iced water, an induction hob, an island, and a breakfast table with banquet seating for 10.
