It is now a bit run down and needs a bit of TLC. Country life cleaning needs to improve. Lots of cobwebs.Curtains in the front downstairs bedroom , ripped and torn. Need replacing. These are only petty comments. Starboard Light is still a wonderful place to stay.

Lots of space, the kitchen was well kitted out and the views from the patio are fabulous. Would have been useful to have some sort of welcome pack with info re where the washing machine etc is but otherwise a fantastic place to stay.

we contacted Sykes who sent a guy who told us the fridge was so wet as we had put food in it, VERY STRANGE, and the smell in the en-suite was because the trap had been cleaned and not refilled with water. The smell returned during Thursday night and the shower had been used regularly so something more that just an empty water trap. The final nail in the coffin was the rubbish bin had not been emptied from the previous week or more likely weeks, so we were forced to spend precious time trying to arrange to get then bin emptied and in the end had to visit the Country Cottages office in Salcombe to get it emptied which was done on Thursday. A lovely property with fantastic views but all in all in need of some TLC the bring it back to the standard we enjoyed when we visited last September.
