Fletchers Barn is an indulgent retreat, with beautiful furnishings, period features and modern touches creating a wonderful place to spend time away from a busy schedule within the rolling landscape of Devon's South Hams. Set over two floors, there are sociable spaces for relaxing in and quiet places to retreat to, with exposed trusses and beams on the upper floor as well as a fabulous wood burning stove and country kitchen creating the warming atmosphere of a truly rural retreat. Seven sumptuous bedrooms tempt lazy mornings in bed with cups of coffee or tea and toast, and five modern bathrooms mean there's plenty of space for all.

To the back of the barns is a fabulous terrace with a large, private hot tub and a spacious outdoor lounge suite. Overlooking the established garden, this is the perfect spot for fresh air dining and barbecues as well as for evening drinks that can be savoured well into the night around the enormous fire bowl. Upstairs, the kitchen invites you to cook up a storm, with an enormous farmhouse table the perfect size for converging around to share meals and conversation, and the shared games room within the grounds is a great place to spend time together for a bit of friendly competition.

Surrounded by farm and woodland, the area is bursting with tracks and trails to explore, along with ample outdoor space for picnics and games. The fantastic beaches at Blackpool Sands, South Milton Sands, Bantham and Bigbury-on-sea are within a short drive as are the towns of Totnes, Darmouth and Salcombe.

*The Barn comprises the Long Barn and The Tallet Barn which are joined and which form the 'wings' of one large building

*The indoor stables games room with table tennis/football, pool, darts and punching bag is a shared facility between guests from both the Farmhouse and The Barn. Beyond are over seventy acres of land belonging to Fletchers with trails, streams and copses to which guests have access

Living room - Upper Floor (Long Barn)

Tucked away at the far end of the Long Barn, the sitting room is open plan with the kitchen / diner and creates a spacious and welcoming area for guests to unwind in. It is furnished with two large L-shaped sofas, three large ottomans, a coffee table and a flat screen TV with Sky as well as a DVD player and Bluetooth speaker. It also features an elevated hearth with a wonderful wood-burning stove, fireguard and implements as well as two log baskets.

Snug (Tallet Barn)

Open plan with the second dining area room, the snug is furnished with an L-shaped sofa and a large ottoman as well as a TV cabinet with a flat screen TV and DVD player

Kitchen - Upper Floor (Long Barn)

Open plan with the smaller dining area in The Long Barn, the kitchen feels bright and modern with features like wood worktops and a breakfast bar with four barstools creating an atmosphere a lovely atmosphere to the space. A terrific range of appliances including a Smeg fan-assisted gas range cooker with gas hob and a large extractor fan, two toasters, two kettles, a microwave, a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, wine fridge, washing machine, Cafetiere, Iron/ ironing board and vacuum cleaner.

Moorhen Bedroom

Furnished with twin brass beds that can be arranged as a king size, this room has access to the terrace and is furnished with a built-in wardrobe, a bedside pedestal with reading lamps, dressing table, chair and mirror.

Swallow Bedroom.

This bedroom is furnished with an ornate double bed, side tables and lamps as well as a free-standing wardrobe and hand basin with mirror. It is situated on the garden level and has access to terrace through double French doors

Fox Bedroom

This room has access out to the terrace and its own en suite shower. Furnished with a double brass bed, chest of drawers and trunk with reading lamps and mirror

Otter Bedroom

This spacious bedroom has its own en-suite shower room and is furnished with an antique wooden bed, bedside pedestal tables, lamps, a freestanding wardrobe, large chest of drawers and a mirror.

The room has access through French doors to the outside terrace

Merlin Bedroom

This lovely room is furnished with two single beds that can be configured to a king size, a freestanding wardrobe, large chest of drawers and a mirror

Robin Bedroom

This bright bedroom features a magnificent French antique sleigh bed with bedside pedestal tables and bedside lamps, built in wardrobes, free standing wardrobe and chest of drawers

Rook bedroom

This lovely bedroom has its own en-suite and features a king size bed, bedside tables with lamps, a chest of drawers, a mirror and a freestanding wardrobe

Outside

The established garden is secure and fenced, and is bordered on one side by the large terrace which runs along the back of the barns, giving access from most of the ground floor bedrooms directly outside. A private hot tub and enormous corten steel fire bowl as well as a spacious rattan outdoor lounge suite with curved sofa, table, tuck-in footstools and two barbecues (one gas and one charcoal) make this area an absolute delight for spending time outdoors. Children can enjoy playing in the furnished tree house as well as the outdoor play area with slide and sandpit. A selection of outdoor games is also provided

There is also a games room housed within the indoor stables on site, which is shared with guests staying at the Farmhouse. This room has a darts board, table tennis / football, punching bag and pool table

Parking

Private off-road parking for up to 7 vehicles opposite the barns. Please note that the access along the lane is not suitable for low suspension or sports cars as well as for very large vehicles, however SUV's, 4x4's and pick-up trucks are fine
