Mixed feedback on cleanliness, with several guests finding the property well-maintained, while others reported issues with cleanliness, such as dog hair and dust. The negative experiences seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its fantastic sea views and proximity to the beach. Guests enjoy the peaceful setting and the convenience for exploring South Devon, though some note the steep climb from the beach.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the property generally cosy. However, some guests mention that the sofas are a bit hard and the en-suite shower is small, which slightly detracts from the overall comfort.
The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests appreciate the EV charger. However, there are comments about poor Wi-Fi, water pressure issues, and the need for maintenance in some areas.
Guests are delighted by thoughtful gestures such as a cream tea on arrival and the provision of basic amenities. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a bonus and may not be guaranteed for every stay.
This apartment is one of seven in a building in Bigbury-on-Sea. Just 350 yards from the big sandy beach, it is peaceful, light reverse-level accommodation with fantastic sea views. Step up to your entrance into the spacious sitting room, a lovely place to relax on the squashy sofas or enjoy leisurely meals prepared in the efficient kitchen and slide open the full height glass doors on a fine day to the balcony which looks out across the bay and has a table for four to enjoy alfresco meals. Stairs take you down to the three bedrooms, the en suite double room a cracking space with glass doors through to a charming sunroom with table and chairs which opens to the terrace.
Outside, as well as the balcony, you have a secure shed for stashing your beach stuff and use of the shared lawn which is carefully manicured. Few can resist the magnetic pull of the spectacular beach below the apartment, a huge stretch of golden sand which stretches to Burgh Island. Surf, maybe with the popular surf school, build sandcastles or stroll the open space, and walk across to the iconic island which inspired some of Agatha Christies mysteries and then catch the long legged sea tractor back at high tide for a ride to remember. For walkers, the South West Coast Path is just moments from the apartment, a fabulous footpath which climbs and dips to spectacular views and secluded coves.

Just felt would be nice to have some hanging wardrobe space in the twin room if possible. The welcome pack cream tea was delicious and generous. Thank you . Just so you are aware, we didnât have weather to make use of outside furniture but noticed one of chair seats wooden seat broken.

The house is welcoming, spacious, modern and contemporary. On warm, sunny days you can sit either in the conservatory or outside on the large balcony enjoying the peaceful location. There are lots of inviting walks along the stunning coast. We experienced a great holiday even on rainy days when we visited interesting National Trust properties.

Convenient free charging for electric car, and a useful additional parking space too. Water pressure needed attention- no water upstairs if someone using the main shower downstairs, also water flow from shower was very poor. Extensive flooding in large bathroom due to drain blockage - this requires regular maintenance which obviously wasnât done. A drainage expert was brought in to address the problem. Wi-Fi was very slow and not suitable for serious use.
