This cottage is part of the Bull Point Lighthouse site, just outside the pretty village of Mortehoe in North Devon. The property features entrance hall, dining room, sitting room, kitchen, double bedroom and bathroom.
In association with Trinity House, we are pleased to present Warden at Bull Point Lighthouse.
Warden sleeping two guests is one of four refurbished former lighthouse keepers' cottages at the lighthouse which lies just outside of Mortehoe in North Devon. The nearby village of Mortehoe is a very pretty village with good pubs and restaurants, fish and chips, stores and a delicatessen. Nearby places to visit include Woolacombe with its Blue Flag sandy beach which is only a 10-minute drive from Bull Point.
Also available to book on this site are Sherrin, sleeping five guests, Siren, sleeping five guests and Triton, sleeping four guests.

The perimeter of the site is fully fenced and gated but once outside this area, it is very dangerous for children staying at the holiday cottage. Please ensure children are supervised at all times.

Given the remote locations of our cottages the Wi-Fi speed and availability cannot be guaranteed at this site The service offered is for light browsing and occasional use, services such as streaming and gaming may not be possible owing to the speeds obtainable.
Guests are reminded they are renting a heritage building, therefore certain features such as steps, stairs and floor levels may not comply with that of a modern building. As such, we would advise guests to acquaint themselves with the premises on arrival and exercise caution accordingly.
Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.
Access roads to the lighthouse site are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.

A beautiful remote location, with direct access to SW coast path for walks along this spectacular coastline (a little strenuous in places). Mortehoe is a charming village, and the surrounding towns, villages and beaches are all worth visiting, some within walking distance if you are energetic. The cottage was spotlessly clean, in excellent condition, and more spacious than we were expecting. The bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. We had a great week.

It was a real joy to stay at the Warden at Bull Point Lighthouse and we enjoyed our stay immensely. From the beginning of our search for a holiday at a lighthouse cottage, my husband previously being a lighthouse keeper, we were impressed with the efficiency, friendliness, and helpfulness of Rural Retreats with whom we booked. Lisa, the housekeeper, was also very thoughtful and helpful, providing us with all the relevant information. Situated in a wonderful, peaceful position at the lighthouse, we thoroughly relaxed in the beautiful and glorious surroundings. The cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated, and tastefully furnished. Everything we needed was provided. We can thoroughly recommend this cottage for an amazing and restful holiday.

My stay at the Warden Bull Point Lighthouse was absolutely wonderful. The scenery is incredible, it was a dream to stay there. The cottage was lovely, very clean, decorated with taste and it had a wonderful home-y feel to it. Everything was perfect! Rural Retreats did a great job with their arrival manual and the landlady Lisa was nice and efficient as well, so it was not any trouble finding the lighthouse and getting in the cottage on my own. I had the smallest car I could rent which was a great choice on my part since the road to get to the lighthouse is very narrow, so that's something to consider if you want to book this cottage too ;) The villages surrounding the area were absolutely adorable too, by the way. It's very easy to get to the beaches nearby by car and there are also a lot of beautiful walking trails scattered around. I would definitely recommend booking this place if you want a quiet original place to stay in and be surrounded by amazing landscapes anywhere you look. I know that I will definitely go back someday!
