Welcome to The School House Cottage in Countisbury. Situated in a beautiful location overlooking the Exmoor countryside, this substantial five bedroom property offers the ideal accommodation for larger families or outdoor activity groups wishing to explore the nearby walks and beaches. Enjoy the peaceful scenery from the attractive terrace garden or relax in one of two lounge areas including one with a warming wood burner stove. The property is available throughout the year with short breaks available and is also dog friendly by prior arrangement.

The bedrooms at The School House are presented as three doubles, one twin and one triple with two found downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. Additional sleeping space for two people can be found on a sofa bed. The living accommodation includes a spacious lounge with flat screen TV and wood burner plus there is a cosy snug with additional seating. There is a fully equipped kitchen boasting a range of appliances including two oven and hobs, a dishwasher and small appliances. To the exterior, there is off road parking for plenty of cars and a terrace garden with picnic bench seating area overlooking the valley.

Short breaks are welcome throughout the year except Christmas/ New Year and can be taken Monday to Thursday, Monday to Friday, Friday to Sunday or Friday to Monday. We may also offer reduced rates for parties of five or more - contact us for further details. A cot can be provided free of charge and your rental price includes towels, linen and electricity. The cottage is dog friendly by prior arrangement at a charge of £25 each per booking (maximum three). Check in time is after 4pm and please vacate the property by 10am on your departure day.

Formerly a school for the local villages, this charming period property offers scenic Exmoor walks right from the doorstep. Enjoy relaxing in this beautifully secluded spot which boasts beautiful views over the valley beneath. The wonderful beaches and coastline of the Somerset coast can also be found just a short drive north of the cottage.
