Ocean Terrace 1 is a well-regarded lodge in Ilfracombe, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful sea views. The on-site pub is a highlight, offering lovely food. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but they do not detract from the overall positive experience. The lodge's thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack, contribute to its warm reception.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its spotless condition. This suggests a well-maintained property that guests find very clean.

The location is frequently commended for its proximity to local attractions and beautiful sea views. However, a slight deduction is made due to a mention of traffic noise in the evening.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, noting its warmth, cosiness, and spaciousness. The presence of two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen adds to the comfort. Points are slightly deducted for comments about the need for more comfortable outdoor seating.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-appointed kitchen and good heating. However, there are mentions of the need for updates, such as the decking needing repair and a request for a larger toaster, which slightly lowers the score.

The thoughtfulness of the owner is evident in the welcome pack provided and the owner's proactive communication. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches may not always be available.

It provided a good base for getting out and about in North Devon. The only thing we couldn't get used to was the traffic noise from the main road in the evening. Everything else was 5*.

Great location on a quiet park and despite being close to the main road there was little noise from traffic. Ilfracombe and Woolacombe were close by. The lodge was huge, had everything we could have asked for, well appointed and well looked after. Spotlessly clean. The only thing that will need to be addressed soon is the decking, which is rotten in a few places, this does happen over time, but this will need to be repaired in places. That being said, it didn't really affect our stay and will happily be coming back to stay at this lodge!
