This spacious detached single-storey lodge is situated in a meadow in the wooded Exe valley, two miles from Exebridge. Down 100 yards of drive, it is a perfect base for families or groups of friends. Steps lead up to the open porch, from which you enter the lovely open plan living space with its airy ceiling and great valley views. The kitchen area is well equipped, complete with walk-in larder, and the seating and dining areas are comfy and welcoming. Head through to the four bedrooms, the big master double a lovely room with TV, en suite and doors to a romantic verandah where you can sit and gaze at the peaceful view. With the meadow to enjoy around the lodge, there is plenty of outdoor space to sit quietly, spot deer, badgers or foxes quietly enjoying the countryside, stroll by the river and star-gaze at unpolluted night skies. You can arrange to fly fish with tuition in Exebridge. Dulverton and Bampton are interesting towns to browse and Wimbleball Lake offers a whole range of exciting water sports. With its location on the Devon/Somerset border, this is an ideal place for exploring the counties and recharging your batteries.

Settled on the River Exe, Exebridge is a charming village marking the border between Devon and Somerset. Just a stone's throw from the bustling town of Dulverton, Exebridge is surrounded by picturesque countryside and ancient woodland, home to a wealth of wildlife including red deer, foxes and owls, whilst the River Exe offers excellent fishing spots. Discover plenty of walking and cycling routes in the area and venture out to the amazing Exmoor National Park.
