Enter into the spacious hallway, store your coats and shoes before you go onto discover the social rooms, each boasting traditional furnishings and retaining many of its original period features. In addition to a Welcome Pack for guests, there is also dog welcome pack as well, and the utility room is ideal for cleaning up muddy dogs and wellingtons! Certain to entice any budding chefs is the contemporary kitchen, complete with a Range cooker, inviting you in to prepare some local delicacies for you and your loved ones to be enjoyed within the grand dining room. In here, you will find a formal dining arrangement set up for 10 people, allowing the whole family to come together to tuck into a self-catered meal. Enjoy relaxing evenings within the sitting room, where you can snuggle up in front of the open fire or sit in the large bay window and while away a few hours playing a selection of games. Three sitting rooms; plenty of bedrooms; modern kitchen with all facilities, wonderful garden and views, big TV, lots of hot water, plenty of parking, easy walk down to Tiverton, games, books, dog friendly etc. Lucy was a delight to deal with and made it all so easy.

The owners were very quick to respond and lovely to deal with. We weren't allowed into the property until 5. By the time we'd unpacked, Sykes automatic system had started and we were left to navigate a very large staircase in the dark. Once I spoke to the owner, it was easy to get the steps and change the bulb. We were lucky no one fell down the stairs on the first night or that it wasn't a major power failure/flood: if it was, then you're on your own. WhatsApp is not an emergency solution.

It oozes charm, nostalgia and romance. As well as the Bluthner piano in the music room there are other musical touches throughout the house which made it an ideal venue to play chamber music with friends. It is a wonderful base from which to explore the surrounding beautiful area. Nine of us enjoyed the most incredible time and we are sure to visit again.
