Garden cottage is tucked away from the main street of Bampton so very quiet and peaceful but very convenient. There is an excellent very efficient wood burner in the spacious sitting room, logs provided for first night and can be purchased from the owner after that. French doors from the sitting room open onto an enclosed courtyard with views over the delightful cottage garden. Bampton is perfectly situated for exploring Exmoor and the north coasts of Devon and Somerset. The owner grew up on Exmoor and can give advice on walks and activities and can provide maps and excellent routes for walking or driving and where best to see the iconic red deer and Exmoor ponies.

Lovely garden cottage, with beautiful artwork and antique furniture, stayed with a friend and large dog. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable, large wood burner in living room. Lounge is much larger than the photos indicate. 2 bathrooms very handy. Situated in a lovely little village, next to a great cafe. Easy on street parking, close to many places to visit. Sara was very helpful/ informative/ friendly without being intrusive. Would happily stay again as great value

Spacious cottage with character and charm, ,short drive to Tiverton, two spar shops in walking distance. Sara was a great host, leaving food and drink for us upon our arrival. Comfy beds, lovely rear garden. Friendly cat and dog made regular visits which we loved each day, as we love animals. Dishwasher huge, no washing up needed. Homely feel, big bath, plenty of hot water. 45 minute drive up to the north coast. Lovely stream at the end of the road where local dogs could enjoy cooling off, kingfisher and grey wagtail spotted there too, nice little community garden ,with benches to sit and enjoy the stream with a take away coffee. Toucan cafe right next door,lovely food.
