Semi-detached but self-contained and private, it is a stylish, relaxing accommodation for a couple to explore the area. Step up into the roomy open plan living space with its oak beams, painted floor, seating area with a cosy wood burning stove in a huge inglenook fireplace, kitchen and dining area. Head up the steep stairs to the charming double bedroom and bathroom, just right for two. On sunny days, sit out or eat alfresco in your seating area within the cottage garden with its apple trees and peace. Stroll around the village with its shop, pub and vineyard or lace up your walking boots to explore the Blackdown Hills conservation area. Axminster and Honiton are interesting old towns to browse, or take off to the coast and the pretty seaside locations of Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer and Sidmouth. With golf, fishing, riding and walks nearby, Brook Cottage is a lovely base for enjoying east Devon.

The lovely market town of Axminster has been made famous by the well-known organic shop and canteen in the area, which were introduced by TV presenter Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Nestled in outstanding peaceful countryside, Axminster is certainly a place to relax and unwind.
