About this property

Vicarage Cottage is a beautiful three bedroom character cottage, which has been sympathetically renovated over the last few years, making the property modern and perfectly positioned for a cottage holiday near the sea in Branscombe (only a 10-minute walk to the beach).

The ground floor provides a generous reception room with exposed stone walls and an impressive stone fireplace retaining the wood burner, along with an opening through to the kitchen giving a sense of open plan living. The kitchen includes a vaulted ceiling, creating a light and airy feel, with a glazed door to the courtyard and offers a range of fitted units, including integrated appliances, and a generous dining area.

Upstairs, the first floor accommodation consists of family bathroom and two bedrooms, the larger having sections of exposed stone and the smaller having a cast iron fireplace and window to the front with small window seat. The family bathroom is fitted with an attractive white suite, including bath and separate shower. To the second floor is the principal bedroom with en suite shower room.

Conveniently located just a short walk from the beach and cafe,

There is a timeless magic about this old village and the property is close to the Masons Arms, a very reputable pub serving excellent food.

The village of Branscombe is found on the South Coast of Devon and is one of the most relaxing and picturesque villages on the Jurassic Coastline.

Here you will find pretty rows of thatched cottages and it is believed to be the longest village in the country where the streets sweep down through the stunning valley to the sea.  The village has a number of historic buildings, the Old Bakery and Forge, both National Trust properties. Inside the Old Bakery you will find yourself surrounded by history, while the thatched forge is thought to be the oldest working of its kind in England.  Branscombe has walks that cater for all abilities, immediately from the front door with beautiful historical strolls or cliff-top hikes and views out to sea.
