There has clearly been a lot of thought and effort put into making it comfortable and welcoming. The log burner is a beast and was more than up to dealing with the cooler weather, the supply of logs more than generous. This made for cosy evenings. How to improve? Very little needed, but it would help to augment the excellent range of cooking gear with a pair of large tongs for picking up cooking food, and the frying pan is wonky... cooked breakfasts are de rigeur in winter. I found the instructions for all the appliances, were they signposted? I feel these are minor niggles against the high overall standard that Millwater Cottage offers, even the ancillaries like a short walk to the pub were spot on!

We had an issue which was promptly sorted by the agent. Garden is good for dogs. We had a relaxing time.

I guess it’s expected when we visit an old property. Anyone visiting should be warned about the people around maintaining the surrounding we had our car badly damaged ( it has costs us now about £500-£600 for repainting and scratches in the glasses) from them cutting the edges. They didn’t had the courtesy of informing us to move our car parked in the our parking space. I would kindly like to advise the visitors to be informed in advance to avoid such inconvenience caused and set them back from enjoying such a lovely property.
