Most charming cottage, semi-detached, situated in a select development, Weycroft, on the site of a former mill, alongside the River Axe on the edge of the popular market town of Axminster, near Lyme Regis.Steeped in history, Lyme Regis, known as ‘The Pearl of Dorset’ set on the Jurassic Coast offers a variety of activities – fossil hunting, fishing trips, a cliff top golf course, coastal walks along the Undercliff Nature Reserve to Seaton then in the opposite direction to Charmouth with a Heritage Coast Centre.Accommodation:Attractively furnished with care and attention.

A couple of minute’s walk around the gravelled communal private road to own lawn garden area with stream, (care with young children), picnic table and green shed, right next to the parking area. Please note that this lawn garden area is NOT enclosed.

Parking: Parking: Please use the hard standing with parking for 2 cars that is by the garden area and stream--a 2-minute walk from the property--where the sign on the large tree reads 'Corncockles Cottage.'"

Additional information:Regret no pets. No smoking inside Corncockles Cottage. Logs can be purchased from local farmer close-by. Care to be taken with young children – stream by garden. Access/mobility information available on request.

Short Breaks: These are available between September and March, including Christmas/New Year.

Location and Area:Corncockles is situated on the edge of the popular market town of Axminster, near Lyme Regis. The town centre is just a 5-minute drive with the famous Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstalls ‘River Cottage Canteen and Deli’. Browse the individual interesting specialist shops, weekly street market and indoor Flamingo swimming pool. Just over a 5-minute drive to Park Farm River Cottage HQ, where cookery courses and evening events are held.

Excellent holiday situation, only a 10-minute drive to the charming seaside town of Lyme Regis, with famous Cobb, local shops, restaurants (fish a speciality) and all amenities. Relax in Lyme’s beautifully landscaped Langmoor Gardens with outstanding views of Lyme Bay. Nearby you can visit the working town mill and sample delicious delights from the bakery then work it off on a climb up Golden Cap, the highest point of the Jurassic Coast.
