This contemporary lodge sits on a rural development of holiday homes in Cornwall with opportunities to explore both coast and countryside. This lodge is perfect for couples and small families of four who want surfing and sailing one day and a slow afternoon with a book and a pack of cards the next; your holiday here will be outdoors led and unhurried. The rolling farmland around the site gives way quickly to rugged cliff paths and hidden coves, with cycling, walking and horse-riding trails threading through the lanes. Stithians Lake Activities Centre (2 miles) draws water sports fans, while the maritime town of Falmouth (9.5 miles) and the gallery-lined streets of St Ives (19.5 miles) sit within reach on either coast, where you can enjoy sea trips or leisurely beach days. The Eden Project's giant biomes make an easy and intriguing outing for all the family and is located 31 miles away.

The open-plan kitchen and living area forms the heart of the lodge, arranged so that whoever is cooking stays part of the conversation. Sofas gather at one end of the room, with a dining table set close to the French doors, which open straight onto the outdoor area and draw plenty of natural light inside. A TV is provided for slower evenings spent indoors, and the kitchen is fully equipped for putting together a hearty meal after a day exploring. Leading off the living space, the master bedroom has a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room with a shower and a WC. The second bedroom is arranged as a twin but can be made up as a double on request. It sits alongside the family bathroom, a generously sized room with a shower over the bath and a WC.

The lodge faces south onto its own decked area which has outdoor seating space for al fresco dining or for sitting out after dark. Adjacent, the hot tub sits on the grass, with the countryside falling away in front of it and providing an ideal place to soak away and admire the views. A wildflower area and a children's play park sit within the grounds of the park, both shared with other guests staying on the development. Each lodge has its own parking space adjacent to the property, making arrivals and departures straightforward.
