For family day outs, the little ones will love a visit to the wonderful Camel Creek Adventure, a family activity centre, featuring animal petting areas, something your little one will love. Wadebridge has a lot to offer with its little boutique shops and delicatessen, to the well serviced bike hire shops, enjoy a ride along the river taking in the views. Rock is an attractive coastal village on the north eastern bank of the River Camel, directly across from the famed port town of Padstow, which is easily accessible via a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities, with top-notch restaurants and boutiques, the true lure is the variety of watersports available, such as sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, and angling. Wonderful to be dog friendly, so the whole family enjoys this beautiful place and all the beaches! However, first time visiting in Winter, the beds are so terribly uncomfortable, we rotated in hope some may be better than others…sadly not…we all came away with bad backs..so far from ideal after paying a pricey sum of a New Years Break, one we booked after my Mums recent illness! The garden also really needs an outside

We had a great holiday and will use Sykes Holiday Cottages again.

We enjoyed the garden and the well appointed kitchen. It was great to find enough kitchen tools and pans etc as well as a few tablets for the dishwasher. The bedrooms were light and airy. Thanks for having us! The only negative was the requirement that we had left the house by nine (having only been allowed in from four). This early check out felt a bit unnecessary, adding an unwelcome element of hurry to our departure. Even an extra half hour would have been appreciated! Nonetheless the house and our stay was delightful.
