The property sleeps seven in three bedrooms and is well-equipped to make it a home from home. The shed contains wet suits, surfboards and other beach gear, and the sunny enclosed garden is ideal for children and dogs.

The village shop offers fine wines and cheeses, you can buy fresh pastries and bread from the bakery, the butcher offers an excellent selection of meat, and the fishmonger has freshly caught fish from the local fishing boats. With so much local produce available you may not want to eat out and prefer to eat al fresco at home.

Situated within walking distance to sandy beaches, Rock Beach is 1½ miles away and is ideal for dogs all year round. When the tide goes out it leaves small rock pools, great for children to explore, and you can also catch the ferry to Padstow from here. Polzeath Beach is popular for surfers and families, surrounded by rocky walls, and surfing lessons are available as well as a good selection of refreshments. Daymer Bay has calm waters, ideal for children, and at low tide it is about a mile long. As it is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, not only will you be amazed at the stunning scenery, but you can lie back and listen to the sound of wading birds.

There are plenty of scenic walks along the South West Coast Path, as well as some excellent cycling routes. Why not hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail from Padstow to Wadebridge and back? Sheltered waters in the estuary make Rock the perfect location for water sports and fishing all year round. Why not explore further afield? Port Isaac, the fictional village of ’Doc Martin’, and Port Quin are popular, and you can walk between the two. Whatever you chose to do, you will want to book again. For the less energetic, bikes and e-bikes are available. Pub within a mile.
