Situated in a quaint Cornish village on the outskirts of Fowey, The Strand has been lovingly restored to create a tranquil space for family adventures in a much-loved area of Cornwall.

Spacious rooms can be found on each of the three floors with soaring ceilings and large sash windows adding to the period charm. Moody hues connect the elegant space, with greys, pinks, and greens creating a calm atmosphere to relax and unwind while quirky manuscript wallpaper and a framed violin add a sense of fun to the décor.

The ground floor features a light and bright living room with views across the surrounding countryside from the inviting bay window along with sumptuous sofas to sink into during family movie nights. Budding cooks will be in their element in the stylish kitchen with its large range cooker and Belfast sink. Hearty meals can be enjoyed in the striking dining room whereas summer soirees can be taken outside in the pretty garden complete with a pizza oven.

Four sumptuous bedrooms can be found on the first floor whilst the Master Bedroom with en-suite occupies the whole of the second floor; a peaceful sanctuary at the top of the house. Each bedroom features little touches that will have you embracing lazy lie-ins while shaker-style shutters welcome the morning light.

The Strand can be found in Tywardreath, a quintessential Cornish village just a short drive from Par Beach, and Fowey, one of Cornwall’s sailing hotspots. You can spend your days walking the nearby coast path or dipping in and out of independent boutiques, cafes and restaurants that line Fowey’s narrow streets. The intriguing Eden Project is a ten-minute drive away from The Strand, where its captivating biomes and thought-provoking exhibitions will inspire the whole family.

There will be some charcoal available, however we would generally ask for guests to buy or replace what they use during their stay.

Guests are also asked to provided their own kindling and kiln dried logs for the pizza oven if they wish to use it.

There are thick fire protective gloves in the kitchen as well as pizza oven tools in the utility room

Parking

Guests may park on the road to unload however please make full use of the three parking spaces on the drive.
