About this property

A modern and spacious, ground floor annexe apartment, next door to the owners' home in the quiet Cornish village of Tywardreath. Ideal for couples and small families, this Tywardreath apartment has a king-size double bedroom, a stylish shower room and a large sitting room with dining area which overlooks your own private front garden. The fitted kitchen has lovely views across the village and it opens onto the small, sunny patio garden at the rear of the apartment that is next door to the owners' garden but fenced for privacy, and benefits from some garden furniture, making it the ideal setting for lazy afternoons.

The village of Tywardreath, with shops and pubs, is just a five minute walk away and the sandy beach at Par is a mile from this Tywardreath holiday apartment. There is a fabulous walk to Polkerris Beach from here, and for keen hikers, the coastal walk around Gribbin Head and on into Fowey, passes some spectacular coastline and wonderful, secluded coves and beaches. Guests can also visit the world-famous Eden Project which is just three miles away. This Tywardreath holiday apartment is an excellent base for a walking holiday or a relaxing break not far from the sea.

Tywardreath is a village in Cornwall, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes and rugged coastline which inspired the literature of Daphne du Maurier. In fact, the village name means The House on the Strand, and it appeared in her novel of that name. The world famous Eden Project is 3 miles away, the beach at Par Sands is around a mile away, and the coastal town of Fowey is a lovely afternoon out.

Well situated for local tourist attractions such as Eden Project & National Trust site Lanhydrock, a short walk to the local beach. Dianne & Dave were very welcoming and helpful.

We were made to feel at ease & Dianne & Dave are lovely people. No pomp & circumstance just real. OK, the kitchen is small but for goodness sake, we are on holiday, do we want washing machines, tumble dryers, freezers cos we know we dont. Get out there and enjoy Cornwall. OK, if the weather is bad then Jenny Wren can occupy us with books, jigsaws, games, DVDs etc. Yes, it is in the middle of an estate but the view from the kitchen is amazing especially at sunset. The garden is private and in the summertime it must be a joy to sit outside and enjoy the evening. The lounge/dining area is so comfortable. Bedroom has plenty of wardrobe/drawer space and a lovely comfy bed. A totally relaxing holiday. Tesco not too far, Harris butchers not to be missed and the local shop. If you want Blackpool etc dont come to Jenny Wren.

The kitchen area, although small had all the necessary equipment that you would have in your own home. The bathroom is small, but has a great shower space, which we appreciated. The furniture quality was lovely and it was great to have a king size bed. The views from the kitchen and garden were stunning. It was nice to have some outside space even though the weather when we visited was not great. It was so peaceful as well. One thing to consider is that the property has steps from the kitchen/bedroom area to the lounge, so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
