The Flower Hut

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable retreat on our Flower Farm. Located perfectly for exploring Cornwall with gorgeous countryside views.

Put the Glam back into Glamping and stay in our beautiful Shepherds Hut which is finished to the highest of standards with a kitchen, oak dining table, modern shower room, mains wc, small fridge and outdoor area with a gas bbq, dining table, fire pit and chairs and a hammock. Petal the Hut always has our fresh flowers in it on your arrival, towels and all bed linen are provided and we even provide our own dried petal luxury bath salts!

Enjoy the mains hot water outdoor vintage roll top bath and star gaze whilst sipping a glass of fizz!

High speed satellite internet is now available within the Hut.

A secluded spot great for star gazing and getting away from the hustle and bustle of normal daily life and really well located for exploring Cornwall. You will be surrounded in nature, the hut has great views and we experience wonderful night skies. We are in a very rural location surrounded by fields but its only a short drive to the seaside so you get to experience the best of both!

The Flower Hut is a working flower farm which is licensed for three glamping units. We currently have a single luxury Shepherds Hut and a bespoke designed Glamping Pod all year around on site and a Bell Tent during the summer months. Each unit has its own large external area and privacy with the glampsite carefully laid out and with plenty of natural screening.

We have a private gated driveway for car parking and then its a short walk across the meadow to Petal the Shepherds Hut.

You are welcomed with some delicious local goodies and the Hut is stocked with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and marshmallows for toasting. The first load of fire wood is complimentary and afterwards more can be purchased from Beth.

Beth, Jeremy, Hattie aged 9 and Crumpet the Cockerpoo and Myrtle the Spinone puppy live on site and Beth grows flowers commercially in their field and is an award winning florist. Beth is often out in the field cutting flowers and working on the flower farm.

Beth is Cornish born and bred so can give you lots of top tips so you get the best out of your stay and we have a comprehensive guide book for visitors. We are very happy to help and advise whenever you need us. Equally, if not we will leave you be, to enjoy the peace and quiet of our surroundings.

We have had wonderful reviews from guests and really enjoy hosting visitors. Beth will happily show you around the flower farm! Our guests reviews suggest that our guests love seeing the flowers on the farm, hearing the owls at night, star gazing and looking for shooting stars, meeting Crumpet and Myrtle and the tranquility of our location. Many book an extra night and we have had many repeat visitors.

Check in is from 4 pm to 9pm and Beth will be here to welcome you in person if possible but if not will send you a self check in video via What's App. Check out is at 10 am.

Stithians is a small friendly village in Cornwall and our accommodation is located just outside of the village in a off the beaten track location. We are 1 mile from the village of Stithians, which is a short walk through fields, which has a well stocked village shop and a village pub, The Seven Stars. The village shop sells a great range of local produce, freshly baked baguettes and the best chocolate croissants! We also have an excellent butchers less than one mile away.

Stithians Reservoir is less than 10 minutes drive or you can walk through the fields to reach it and it offers watersports, a great cafe, walking and The Golden Lion pub. We provide maps and directions for walking to both our nearby pubs.

Stithians is only 15 minutes from the main trunk road, the A30 and the beautiful coastal town of Falmouth, 20 minutes from the City of Truro and Helston and close to both north and south coast beaches and coves. We are located very centrally for exploring all of the best parts of Cornwall. The north coast has the best beaches for surfing whilst the south coast has wonderful coves for swimming and paddle boarding.

As well as Cornwall's beautiful beaches and coves, we are well located for visiting Trebah Gardens, the National Maritime Museum, Trelissick Gardens and House, Kennall Vale Nature Reserve, Glendurgan, Falmouth (with regular boat trips to St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula), St Ives, St Michaels Mount, the Lizard Peninsula, Mylor Harbour with boat and kayak hire, Truro and the King Harry Ferry for accessing the Roseland Peninsula.

The popular town of St Ives is easily reachable and we recommend taking the train from St Erth as its one of the most scenic train journeys!

Cornwall is a foodie heaven and we have a list of restaurants, cafes and pubs that we enjoy visiting within our guest information pack but include Slice of Cornwall, Bango Kitchen, Muddy Beach, Pandora Inn, Mylor Cafe, Lula Shack, The Hungry Horsebox and the list goes on!
