Tintagel 0.7 miles. Based in the seaside village of Bossiney near Tintagel, opposite a hidden cove, rests this terrific property, Tir Cottage. Enjoying sea-views and a cluster of amenities close-by, this cottage makes a great location for both family and friends. Be greeted by an off-road parking space, which makes loading and unloading your vehicle an easy task. Entering the property, you will discover the well-equipped kitchen, here the designated chef can make use of the electric oven and hob and there is a washing machine and dishwasher to assist with the cleaning-up. Stepping through the home, you will see the rustic living/ dining room, home to a toasty woodburning stove and plush sofas to unwind on in front of the TV.
Settle down at the dining table to enjoy heart-warming meals together, with the crackle of the wood burner in the background. Why not dine alfresco in the rear garden on warmer evenings and afterwards melt your stresses away in the alluring hot tub. As the sky grows dark, retire inside and climb upstairs to choose between a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and TV or a twin bedroom with sea-views. Awaken with a refreshing rinse in either the en-suite shower room or the other shower room, where you don't need to worry about morning queues! Take a scenic stroll down the coastal path to reach Bossiney Cove, where your canine companions can splash in the sea and there is Cedar Tree Restaurant for a tuitional English cuisine.
A short walk will lead you to Tintagel, where adrenaline-seekers can climb North Tintagel Boulders and budding historians can tour the ruins of Tintagel Castle; there is also Saint Nectan's Glen for murmuring waterfalls. Why not take a car journey to the ancient town of Camelford, where you can unravel the past at The North Cornwall Museum & Gallery and learn about Celtic heritage at The Arthurian Centre? Venture a little further afield to Wadebridge for a wealth of independent eateries to treat your loved ones to dining out and why not rent a bike from Camel Trail Cycle Hire to explore the coast on wheels? To explore the gems of Cornwall, with your loved ones, choose Tir Cottage.
Tintagel is a renowned but not congested tourist destination because of the mythical King Arthur's Castle, whose remnants dominate the cliffside just beyond the settlement. The sea, rocky coves, and breathtaking views dominate the surrounding area. Several beaches, notably adjacent Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are easily accessible, and surfing is the main draw for water lovers. Tintagel contains a number of bars and eateries, as well as the National Trust's Old Post Office. The SW Coast Path runs through the settlement and winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water's edge through spectacular terrain in both directions.

Very comfortable bed and great nights sleep. Spotlessly clean. Really nice to have use of the log burner which made it very cosy and having a hot tub to chill out in after a long walk was lovely! We will definitely be booking again!

15:05), but did not get access till approx. 15:50 as cleaners were still prepping cottage. Not the owners fault of course, but not the start we wanted after a long drive. The cottage is promoted with several references to the wood-burner, but not even a starter batch of wood is supplied. (Wood can be obtained from stores in the village, but it's a long way to carry it back if not in the car). As experienced in other cottages, a 'Welcome Pack' of basics tea, coffee, milk would have been a nice touch. As one would expect, as this is a self-catering holiday, we brought items of food with us. No freezer!? not even a freezer compartment in the fridge! Still, there was an ice-cube tray in the drawer so that's OK! A new kettle is needed as the current one leaks when pouring, & the garden 'furniture' is poor. If you are having a night in, don't expect in-depth TV viewing as the dated TV does not have basic Freeview, so only a few channels available. Finally, be careful - the base unit of the en-suite shower is very slippy! On Tintagel: We recommend The Olde Malthouse as the best pub. The King Arthur is a 'dive'. Charlie's deli/tea shop is really nice. There are 2 small 'supermarkets' for provisions, but obviously they have their own 'mark-up' on prices. The visitor Centre was not open. The 'chippy' fry's their fish to order which was nice, but the chips were as if from a previous fry. The pasties at any of the outlets were as good as each other. Overall, Tintagel is very small & quiet (yes it was Feb') Out & About. Highly recommend the Tintagel Brewery & Bistro for Sunday Roast Carvery. Just a short 2-5 min drive away. Use the bus! N°95 outside cottage going right to Boscastle & Bude, or left (connect with N°96 to Port Isaac or with N°11 to Padstow) to Newquay. £2 max per single journey, or £5 all day with £10 family tickets available till end March 23. Let the bus driver take the strain of those narrow roads! We have holidayed in cottages previously (1st time with Sykes). We always review & say it as we see it. We have no intention to be rude or personal, but this cottage is not - in our opinion - worth the cost level it is pitched at. We recommend both Sykes & owners read similar style cottages on other sites to see what is provided as standard for this price grade. Mr & Mrs Ian Greenwood: Droitwich
