… in Treknow, four Victorian terraced houses perched high with terrific views down the Trebarwith Strand beach valley through their big bay windows. We let two. The houses are on three levels with about 10 steps up from the lane up to their front doors. At the back, each has a long, enclosed garden (table/chairs) on various levels with a gate at the top leading to a back lane and parking. A few hundred yards down the lane, a good food pub/restaurant (remember torch!). Not suitable for people with limited mobility. Friendly all-year-round family houses, well placed for beach, walking and exploring north Cornwall.

... Heatherdale is end-of-terrace and bright and welcoming with lovely touches of colour and interest from prints, pictures and well chosen furniture. From the steeply sloping, lawned front garden, step up to porch with plenty of space for boots and beach paraphernalia. Another step up to living room (woodburner, TV/DVD) with large bay window with valley view and sea glimpses. Smartly fitted, L-shaped kitchen/dining room (slimline dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, cooker with induction hob). Back door to garden, outhouse (washing machine, tumble drier, storage for surfboards). Steep stairs from living room up to a very pretty double bedroom (5' bed) with bay window and lovely rural views seaward. Bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Further narrow and steep stairs up to a large bright bedroom under the eaves with three single beds, TV/DVD and good views.
