There is also a bathroom where guests get the choice to soak in the bath or freshen up in the shower, as you clean the sand from between your toes. Climb up to the second-floor, where there is a further double bedroom with a sloped ceiling, sea views and an en-suite shower so guests can get ready in style. Outside there is off-road parking for one car, and an enclosed rear garden with plenty of lawn for your children and pets to play, and a patio boasting furniture so you can enjoy a bottle of wine under the stars. Hope Cottage is just a few steps away from the village pub, a bar, a playing field and a shop for any of you self-catering needs. Take a short drive to Tintagel and explore its history and ties to King Arthur, including a gorgeous shoreside castle and a statue, as well as Merlin's Cave and the Toy Museum. Also worthy of a visit is the picturesque fishing village of Port Issac, which has some wonderful scenic spots, National Trust cottages and the Portwenn View Observation Deck, which offers breathtaking sea views․ For any tv and movie fans, Port Issac is also the home of the TV series Doc Martin and the film Fisherman's Friends. Also in the area you can surf the waves at Polzeath Beach, benefitting from the famous Atlantic swell, and discover the famous South West Coast Path or visit the interesting Davidstow Airfield and Cornwall at War Heritage Museum. Delabole is well placed for walking the South West coastal path, exploring the high places of nearby Bodmin Moor, or for relaxing on the beach at Trebarwith Strand. Nearby is the peaceful harbour village of Port Isaac, the town of Tintagel with King Arthur’s legendary castle, and the surfing beach at Polzeath. Delabole itself has a pub, shops, a playing field and a love church, as well as a quarry which is an interesting tourist attraction.
