About this property

Tresow is an inviting and spacious, detached cottage set within a small private close in Tredrizzick, near Rock, Cornwall. Just two miles away from the sandy beaches and amenities of Rock, and close to the spectacular golf courses at The Point and St Enodoc, Tresow offers an ideal base for a family getaway, welcoming up to eight guests. The home lies in a peaceful, tucked-away position and has some lovely rural views, whilst also benefitting from a small lawned area for some outdoor fun. With four bedrooms to select from, including a king-size with en-suite shower room, two twin rooms, and a bunk, there’s plenty of space to accommodate groups and families. With plush sofas and a spacious kitchen/diner, you’ll have social areas to prepare meals, dine and relax, when you’re not out and about, exploring the attractions of this part of North Cornwall. Tredrizzick is a pretty hamlet with lots of footpaths around waiting to be explored, one of which leads up to The Point at Polzeath, where golf, swimming, tennis, and spa facilities are available. Continue on towards the beach at Polzeath, where you can have a go at surfing the waves, or for calmer waters and refreshing sea swimming, head to Daymer Bay, just a short drive away. For sailing enthusiasts, a drive down to the nautical heart of Rock is a must; waterskiing, wakeboarding and numerous other water-based activities can be found at the Sailing school, Sailing club and ski school. Wadebridge is the nearest town with wet weather options, including a leisure centre, independent shops, supermarkets, and a cinema, plus plenty of eateries to dine out and sample local menus. With so much to see and do, whatever the weather, book a stay at Tresow.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. The house is well maintained, clean and very comfortable and having 3 bathrooms and 2 seating areas is a real bonus. There is a lovely garden with outside furniture which we made use of as the weather was unusually warm and sunny and driving to the local beaches is easy. There was a generous pack of essentials on arrival which was very welcome. Thank you for another wonderful stay.

Clean, fresh, equipped in a lovely way but also a highly efficient arrangement with three bathrooms containing wash basins, loos and showers etc; utility room, two sitting rooms with comfy furniture, big landing, the works. Great garden, ample parking. Could have one family with lots of children, two families with several children or, as in our case, 7 adults down for a family wedding. Each arrangement would work perfectly, no problem. To return to my first observation, we have stayed at many self- catering properties over the decades and this seemed the most clean, fresh and well maintained thus far. Moreover, we have sometimes paid a lwhole ot more for a lot worse! Finally, a generous and really helpful supply of immediate essentials and treats greeted us on arrival. So impressed with Tresow.

Plenty of room for the children to play and run round. Similar to other feedback, my 6ft4 husband kept walking into the low hung lights but other than that, fabulous holiday house.
