About this property

Porthilly Brook is a spacious and contemporary holiday home, located at the end of a private road in the heart of Rock, on the North Cornwall coast. Oozing style throughout, this single-storey property adjoins a footpath leading down to the quiet sandy beach at Porthilly Cove, making it a wonderful bolthole for a coastal break for up to ten guests. With a large, secluded, south-facing garden on offer, spend balmy evenings playing garden games before dining alfresco upon the private terrace. Bright pops of colour keep this house feeling fun and stylish, and with generous furnishings and storage throughout, make it an easy and memorable place to stay for a self-catered getaway. The open-plan kitchen/diner has doors leading onto the terrace, offering a sheltered spot to enjoy lunch in the garden or plan your day over morning coffee, whilst huge sliding, glass doors in the sitting room offer an extra sense of space. Accessed externally, a basic utility room and shower are useful for drying out damp beach kit, making Porthilly Brook an ideal family abode. The master en-suite bedroom is upstairs, with a twin room alongside it, whilst another twin and bunk room are located on the ground floor for ease. Enjoy the beauty of North Cornwall from this calm holiday escape, with excellent village shops and services within walking distance, including a newsagents, butcher, fishmonger, and delicatessen. For evening meals, try local restaurants including the award winning 'The Dining Room' and the St Enodoc Hotel. Stroll down to Porthilly beach and Rock waterfront, via the footpath across fields, with panoramic views of the Camel Estuary, Padstow, and countryside beyond. With sailing and waterskiing on offer here, plus the golden sands of Daymer Bay and Polzeath for swimming and surfing, families will be kept busy, happy, and inspired. Experience all of this at Porthilly Brook.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.

It has everything we could need and is in a perfect location for all the Rock amenities, which are all within walking distance. Hoping to book again soon. Thank you

As an added bonus, the garden is enclosed (which was great for our dog) even thought it said in the brochure that it isn't. We've stayed in many Brays holiday lets over the years and this is definitely up there as one of our favourites!
