About this property

Sunset is an attractive dormer bungalow situated in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking Polzeath beach. Take full advantage of the handy footpath directly adjacent to the property, ensuring a quick, stress free and fun filled day at the beach. Sunset also has a lovely sheltered enclosed garden with large patio and sun bathing area. Sunset is the perfect holiday home for a large family or group of friend, as it sleeps seven to eight people in four well-presented bedrooms. Pets are also welcome (being part of the family). The bedrooms have a vast number of bed choices from the master bedroom with a super king and en-suite, a friendly twin and a cosy double. The kitchen is the ultimate place to marvel in the views through wide windows and French doors, resulting in a light, home style space to cook your holiday feast. Coming back from the beach you can have a nice warm rinse off in the outside shower and hang the wetsuits up to dry in the utility room. Polzeath is the ultimate of the Cornish seaside resorts. Having a wide choice of cafes, bars, restaurant, delightful boutiques and surf shops. The relaxed surf vibe pulls to all ages and the waves are suitable for all abilities. At low tide the family can enjoy a spot of rock pooling or sand castle building. North Cornwall offers an array of activates to participate in from rambling along the coastal paths with the family dog, hopping on the Padstow ferry to visit The Lobster Hatchery or heading to the fishing village of Port Issac, the setting of the long running ‘Doc Martin’ TV series.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.

Our only issue was with the wifi. It dropped out each day a few hours after being fixed by the very good support team. Speeds are slow and the only way some of our party were able to work as planned was by using hotspot on their phones - fortunately 4G speed was sufficient.

The house is very well appointed with everything we needed and plenty of cutlery and crockery which is not always the case. The utility area and outside shower enabled us to keep the main house clean and dry. We loved the spacious garden and patio for outside dining and barbecues. Our only slightly adverse observation was a bit of a musty smell in the lounge.

Nice hot shower. Internet very bad, don’t try to work from home from here. Communication about the house very bad. The website says bath towels are not included, something I’ve never had before. So I rang to check. The agents said they are indeed not included. Very annoying because I had to pack loads of bath towels into a packed car. Arrived at the house and bath towels are included! Agent said cleaning included but large note in house says leave £30 cash for cleaning!
