From its striking interior design to its commanding clifftop setting, Ossco is the perfect family home in North Cornwall that welcomes your dogs as well. Effortlessly stylish, the house sleeps ten guests, making it ideal for large groups and family celebrations. The spacious open-plan living areas have plate glass windows, allowing you to invite the incredible ocean views indoors. Architecturally crafted, this is high-standard accommodation complete with underfloor heating, a woodburning stove, state-of-the-art kitchen with both an oil-fired AGA and separate electric oven/hob, and multiple dishwashers, whilst outside there is a Coach House annexe.

Ossco is gated from the road with parking for several cars, whilst to the front and side of the house are large stone terraces with teak patio furniture, leading on to huge lawns affording truly breath-taking views of the rugged Atlantic Ocean. The surrounding National Trust coastline is accessible via the nearby public footpath leading down to Lundy Bay, a sheltered cove with sandy beaches at low tide. Polzeath beach is only a short drive away and a favourite spot for surfers of all ability, with beach side cafes and restaurants as well as shops and galleries. Sailing, waterskiing, and inflatable rides take place on the sheltered Camel Estuary with dinghy hire or tuition found at Rock.

For an easy day on the beach pack a picnic, a cricket set, and bucket and spades, and head for Daymer Bay - with clear blue bathing water, rock pools galore and some of the best sunsets, it's the perfect spot to linger.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. A lovely home, great location with amazing views. We did however suffer with a couple of problems...the heating in the downstairs rear back bedroom and bathroom wasn't working for a couple of days but this was fixed, thank you. Unfortunately the maintenance team dropped of a couple of heaters in the interim and one caught fire within a few minutes of being turned on and filled the bedroom with smoke, the second heater blew in the night and sparked meaning we had to leave this one turned off too. This was especially concerning as a baby as well as parents were in the room. Also, the house overall was just too hot the whole week but according to the instructions next to each room thermostat we were asked to not fiddle with the heat setting? Crazy! Surely we should have the opporunity to regulate the heat as needed? We would visit again as I'm sure the heating for the bedroom and bathroom were just a small issue that was rectified quickly and without fuss. So our only comment really is the before any heaters are left they are checked and tested as it really could have been a terrible sitaution where the house could have caught fire and people hurt, also the freedom to opertate the heating up or down as needed as this is the one thing that would stop us returning.

Loved watching the kids run free and the waves roll in. The house was the perfect space for my Dads 80th celebrations with 2 older couples plus 2 younger with 4 kids. Brilliant location above Lundy bay with great walks around the Rumps and Polzeaths amenities down the road. Thank you.

Nice and easy to access the coast path. Couple of things that could be improved in our opinion…Main bedroom upstairs would benefit from new mattress (very lumpy) an upgrade with the electric cleaner would be a definite bonus, cordless would be so much better, there is a lot of hard floor surface to keep clean.
