About this property

Greystones Studio, as the name suggests, is a zen-like open-plan living space flooded with natural light and just moments away from the renowned beach and calm waters of Daymer Bay on the North Cornwall coast. Offering a tranquil getaway, this holiday cottage is ideal for a couple who wish to explore all that North Cornwall has to offer with beautiful coastal walks, villages, and beaches nearby, or to simply unwind from day-to-day life. A spectacular choice for your romantic getaway, Greystones Studio is a delightful cottage with a spacious and contemporary open-plan design. The double height ceiling, expansive glazed walls and Velux windows enhance the social space inviting in the natural light, allowing you to sink into a chair with a favourite novel or cuddle up watching a film next to the woodburning stove. French doors open out onto the sheltered patio area; a peaceful place to enjoy a morning coffee before heading out for the day. Daymer Bay is the perfect spot for swimming, paddle boarding, beach combing, wind surfing and kite surfing, and lies adjacent to the famous St Enodoc golf course. There is no need to get back in your car as you can enjoy the world-class golfing, sailing, and the stunning South West coast path on your doorstep, along with a choice of delis, pubs and restaurants in Rock and Polzeath. Hop on the foot-ferry from Rock to Padstow to explore this picturesque bustling coastal harbour with plenty of enticing shops and a famous food scene. Here you will also find access to the Camel Trail bike route or can walk through the town to visit the Elizabethan manor of Prideaux Place followed by a stroll across the headland to see the sweeping sea and estuary views. Alternatively, a short drive will take you to Port Isaac, a working harbour known to many as the home to the Fishermans Friends and the film set for the Doc Martin series. Note: This property can be booked alongside Ref: 1080478, together sleeping 12 guests.

Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers with the waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.

Trying to be constructive without criticism; the settee is low for taller people but this is being ‘ picky’. We would love to come again in the wintertime. Whilst the weather was stormy the temperature was mild - 12c with daffodils, periwinkle’s with many other varieties in flower. The surrounding scenery is really spectacular with the Atlantic rollers meeting the beautiful clean beaches of the bay offering something for everyone to enjoy. We just loved it!!

Everything we hoped for and needed and John Bray staff are great in Cornwall. Just don’t like dealing with Sykes as they are too big and don’t have the personal touch and knowledge that the lovely old local office has.
