For a foodie day out, head to Padstow (3 miles), where the streets around the harbour are lined with independent boutiques and high-quality cafes and restaurants. Here, you can also hire bikes and follow the Camel Trail to Wadebridge, enjoying the scenery as you pedal. Play golf at the local club just a mile away, or head to the indoor climbing centre (great for a rainy day), 4.5 miles away. The world-famous Eden Project is only 21.5 miles away.

Climb the stairs to the first floor and find the entrance to this welcoming apartment, hang coats in the hall and step inside to find the cosy, open-plan living space. The run of kitchen cabinets at one end includes an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave – everything you’ll need for cooking up delicious holiday meals with ease.
