About this property

With a wood fired hot tub, hobbit-style barbecue lodge, king-size four poster bed and power shower, Gillan Creek Retreat is the ultimate eco-friendly getaway. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, this retreat is the ultimate off-grid glamping getaway. Unwind, relax and spoil yourselves in this unique place that combines being in nature whilst enjoying some luxury. In addition to this, it's in a great location to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas, amazing beaches and coves etc.

The hut itself is home to a luxurious, king-size four poster bed with storage below, with Egyptian cotton bedding provided. The shower room has a hot power shower, flushing toilet and complimentary toiletries, and a small kitchenette has fridge, double gas hob and all cooking essentials. For chilly evenings, a wood burning stove will keep you toastie with complimentary logs provided.

Next to the hut is the romantic wood-fired hot tub. Sip your favourite tipple whilst listening out for the hooting of the local Tawny Owls and star gaze to your hearts content. In addition to the shepherds hut, the Hobbit-style barbecue lodge is a complimentary extra, provided for your private use, to cook up a storm, no matter the weather; or you might fancy toasting marshmallows, s'mores or sausages using the fire pit outside. Plenty of choice!

After a day of exploring the surrounding area, you may choose to laze on the double hammock before dinner, listening to the gentle flowing creek, or relax and read a book in the swinging chair in the wooded area or simply listen to the bird song and cows and sheep in nearby fields. If you're lucky, you may spot the small family of deer that occasionally visit the meadow. Your nearest neighbours are the six cute and very friendly chickens, which are fenced off to keep any doggy guests safe.

Although this retreat is off-grid, you wouldn't know it, with fresh running water, a divine hot shower, flushing toilet and wi-fi, all run from a hidden array of solar panels, with the fresh water coming from a borehole.

Beautiful place to stay, loved the extras of having a hot tub and indoor bbq area. Lots of nice places close by to go and visit and lots of nice walks.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gillan Creek Retreat. It's such a special place, really peaceful and magical - the hut was beautiful and had everything we needed, the hot tub was fab and the separate living room hut was brilliant and such a cozy place to hang out. It's well located for the best of the Lizard heritage coast, with all the walks and beaches we wanted to see only 10-15 mins away as well as Helford 10 mins to the north which is well worth a visit. Thank you Paul and we will definitely be returning!!
