About this property

This traditional wing of a former granite vicarage is situated in the pretty village of St Keverne, near Helford, adjacent to the owner's home, it is set over two levels at the back of the house. Set over two floors, this modern retreat for couples offers tranquil accommodation with distant sea views across Falmouth Bay from the bedroom and the beautiful shared garden for alfresco dining and barbecues. On the ground floor the beamed ceiling kitchen with dining area makes a bright social space. There is a comfortable and spacious bedroom and small sitting room on the first floor with a feature ornate fireplace, plus a shower room.

The pretty garden has a lawn with a paved patio and views to the sea, and chickens providing eggs for breakfast! St Keverne is the largest village in the Helford area and Eden House Wing is paces from the bustling village square with its post office, village stores, newsagents, butchers, pubs and restaurants. Enjoy a stroll across the rolling countryside and along the coastal path. The rugged scenery of the Lizard Peninsula is less than three miles away, interspersed with beautiful coves, hidden creeks, thatched cottages and colourful fishing boats. The picture postcard village of Helford which sits sleepily on the banks of the river of the same name is home to a sailing club and a pub on the waterfront, where you can hop on a boat to explore the northern banks of the river.

Eden House Wings makes a delightful bolthole for coast and country adventures.

On the eastern side of The Lizard Peninsula, the pretty village of St Keverne, lying just 1.25 miles inland, is the focal point for this area, with its village pubs and shops surrounding the village square, and an impressive church spire, at one time used to guide the Cornish fishermen home. From St Keverne, you can easily explore the natural and spectacular beauty of the Lizard Peninsula by car, bicycle or on foot. You will find walled fishing harbours, tiny secret coves, sandy bays and dramatic clifftop walks

Welcoming vases of flowers and bottle of wine. Nothing more I could of asked for. I would definitely consider going there again

The bathroom was the only area which was in need of an update. A comfortable bed and cosy sitting room.

We stayed here for 6 nights and found the cottage to have more or less everything we needed. Only a few things to note: the cottage could be a little cold and there is no way of putting the heating on (I believe it is operated from the main house), it wasn't a huge issue for us but I imagine could be an issue in colder months. There is an electric heater in the bedroom. There is a washing machine in the cottage but no dryer/clothes maiden to dry your clothes on. I would also suggest bringing some extra loo roll, dishwasher tablets and bin bags as there was not quite enough for our whole stay. Other than that I would say the cottage was well equipped. The Three Tuns Pub/Restaurant nearby was really nice and they have a quiz on Tuesdays, and a Spar shop round the corner too.
