Tideswell at Coverack Headland is a superb Lizard Peninsula holiday home overlooking Mears Beach, steps from the South West Coast Path and the sand. It has uninterrupted ocean views from the living room, kitchen/diner and master bedroom, and the patio garden. A 15-minute walk along the coastal footpath takes you to the charming fishing village of Coverack with a village shop and pub. Helston is around half an hour's drive, while places like Truro, St Ives, St Michael's Mount and Falmouth are all less than an hour away. The ground-floor apartment is beautifully decorated and accommodates five people in two bedrooms, with pets welcome by arrangement. Tideswell is perfect for couples or families.

The fabulous Lizard Peninsula holiday home is in a stunning headland location, a short walk from Coverack and mere steps from the sand of Mears Beach. Picture yourself reclining in the patio garden, teased by a gentle Gulf Stream breeze as you admire views few are fortunate enough to enjoy in their lifetime. The views from the living room, kitchen/diner and master bedroom are no less exceptional, giving you every opportunity to relish the seaside location. Tideswell is exceptionally well suited to couples and families, sleeping five people in two bedrooms.

You can walk from Tideswell to Coverack via the scenic South West Coast Path in around 15 minutes. Fishing is still very much at the heart of this village, where boats arrive in the sheltered harbour with the freshest catch of the day. The village has a local pub, the Paris Hotel (named after the SS Paris that ran-aground on the headland in 1899) and a restaurant in the converted Lifeboat house. Both have a varied menu, including locally caught fish and chips and house specialities. Other places to eat include Harbour Lights restaurant, the Bay Hotel, Archie’s Loft and the Village Stores – which also supplies essential groceries, household items and is a newsagent. The turquoise waters are popular for snorkelling and scuba diving, and you can hire windsurfers and kayaks in summer. Kids love poking around in the rock pools, building sandcastles, and skimming stones. Even at the peak of the summer season, you'll still feel as if you've stumbled onto a carefully kept secret.

There's a huge choice of activities and attractions to enjoy during your stay at Tideswell. Play tennis in the grounds of The Headland, walk along the South West Coast Path, go horse riding, or cycle along mile after stunning mile of country lanes and way-marked cycle routes around the beautiful Lizard Peninsula. The magnificent links of the Mullion golf club are nine miles away, while gardeners can admire the beauty of Trebah and Bonython Estate. Historic Helston, with its excellent shops, regular markets and other activities, is only 20 minutes from Tideswell, with Porthleven and Praa Sands only a few minutes further. Other Lizard Peninsula attractions include Kynance Cove, Kennack Sands, Lizard Point, the Terence Coventry Sculpture Park, Poldark Mine, Flambards Theme Park, and Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station. Truro, Penzance, St Ives, Falmouth, Lands End, and St Michael's Mount are within an hour of the holiday apartment.

A holiday at Tideswell is one you won't forget. The owners accept bookings typically between late March and early November (out of season by arrangement with the owners), and it's as wonderful in summer as in spring and autumn, while the location is as welcoming for guests who want to explore and be active as it is for those who relish the prospect of not moving from their sun lounger.

Accommodation Comprises:

Tideswell is a stylish ground floor apartment in The Headland, at the end of a private road with no passing traffic. Although accommodation is all on one level, the apartment is accessed by a flight of external steps.

Welcoming hallway with space to leave shoes and coats.

Fantastic kitchen/diner with glazed doors that open onto the patio garden and overlook the sea. Cooking meals in such surroundings is a joy, especially when the views are paired with efficient appliances, including a dishwasher and a coffee machine.

Separate living room with a charming nautical nod to the location. There is a comfortable sofa and two arm-chairs where guests can relax and enjoy the stunning ocean views or watch the Smart TV, listen to music, or read (Alexa and Amazon Firestick also provided).

Master bedroom with a kingsize bed, built-in storage, and more incredible views. Beds are made up for the arrival of guests, and bath towels are provided.

Twin bedroom with two single beds and a single folding chair-bed to sleep a third guest. This room also has ample storage so guests can unpack and settle in.

Outside: The east-facing patio garden has breathtaking views of Mears Beach, Chynalls Point and beyond. There is a table and chairs with a parasol and sun loungers for when you feel like a snooze. The apartment has an allocated parking space. Guests can arrange storage of bikes, kayaks and other sports equipment. The site has shared laundry facilities and a tennis court.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Guests to bring beach towels if they are required. One or two well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement and a small surcharge. The owner offers a discount for consecutive week bookings. Smoking is not permitted.
