… in the heart of Coverack, just a stone’s throw from the beach and harbour, an 18th cent. cottage that has been beautifully renovated. Some sea views from upstairs bedroom and the elevated terraced garden (21 steep steps up from back door) with decked area (table/chairs, barbecue) and back gate leading to the Coast Path.
From the pavement, stable door into living/dining room with traditional low beams (lowest 6’), inglenook (open fire), TV/DVD/video and window seats. Kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker, larder fridge) with iPod dock and back door to terraced garden. Utility room (washer-drier, fridge-freezer). Upstairs, four bedrooms – a double (5’ bed) with window seat, sea views and en suite shower-room (suite); a double (bed accessed from one side only); and two singles (one with limited clothes-hanging space ). Bathroom (suite, shower over bath). An idyllic and homely cottage, well suited for simply relaxing or superbly located for exploring.

"Had a lovely time and the house was in a great location for the beach (and we were blessed with lovely weather), but I didn't feel this house was equipped to the usual exemplary HH standards. In all the other HH houses we've stayed in the owners leave cleaning stuff, spare bulbs and so on so you don't have bring/buy those things. This house didn't have that and I'm not going to call the owners to change a bulb. In addition the crockery was very cheap, so most of the plates and cups looked dirty because grey marks were left where people had cut/stirred. We stayed in Lower Toft the following week and there is just no comparison. These are really, in the grand scheme of things, minor irritations rather than anything else and we had a lovely time at the house. But as I said at the beginning it didn't feel up to the usual superb HH quality. We book with you because we know that the house is going to be checked, excellently equipped and well looked after. This one didn't feel as "loved" !"
