About this property

This end-of-terrace, character cottage is situated in the picturesque town of St Ives, on the beautiful Cornish coastline. Less than a mile from Carbis Bay beach, Knill House is perfect for families seeking a memorable coastal break. Step inside this charming dwelling and discover the sitting room, offering a place to relax and unwind after a day of walking, while the woodburning stove offers a gentle warmth and the Smart TV provides entertainment. There is also a small snug room with a TV, board games, XBox and good books. From here, patio doors lead out to the garden where alfresco dining is recommended, or sit out on the wooden chairs within the shrubbery and take in the coastal breeze. When you want to have a hand at home-cooking, rather than sampling the fine restaurants of St Ives, head to the country-style kitchen where the AGA range cooker awaits (not available during the summer), along with a pretty dining area where mealtimes can be enjoyed. Whisk off to the bedrooms as you tire, offering a king-size, twin (zip and link to super king-size bed on request) and single, dressed in neutral tones and fresh white bed linen. Serving the bedrooms is the bathroom which boasts a bath and shower over, great for a lazy soak or a quick rinse. Acquaint yourself with your surroundings as you take a stroll in St Ives, winding through quaint streets and narrow lanes before reaching the quayside, offering a great selection of shops and eateries. Soak up culture and art in the famous Tate St Ives, and marvel at the sculptures in the Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Park. Lace up your walking boots and join the beautiful South West Coast Path, where you can catch glimpses of tall granite cliffs, hidden coves and fascinating wildlife along the way. However you choose to spend your time, return each evening to the comfort and character of Knill House.

St Ives is one of Cornwall's most picturesque towns, boasting white sand beaches and a scattering of quaint shops and boutiques amidst winding cobbled streets. Choose one of the eateries including cafés, pubs, and the traditional past shops, before delighting in some arts and culture either within the Tate St Ives, or the Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Park. Venture along the South West Coast Path to the serene Carbis Bay, or head west to head further into the Penwith Heritage Coast.

Only 20 minutes' walk from the centre of St Ives and close to a comfortable pub, a bus stop and walks for the dogs, it was in a very convenient and quiet location. We hope to be back sometime. Thank you for a lovely break!

The house was so clean and comfortable and well equipped. The garden is absolutely stunning and the fire was a welcome treat on colder nights.

We understand that steps are being taken to improve recycling facilities for visitors and that would be beneficial.
