About this property

Perched above Carbis Bay Beach, in one of Cornwall’s most beautiful bays Ivory enjoys unbeatable panoramic views. Sit back on the balcony and relax listening to the waves crash on the sand below, you may even be lucky enough to see dolphins at play. Sleeping four, for a small family or couple it’ll provide the perfect base from which to explore West Cornwall. Open the double French doors, onto your private balcony, and let in the fresh Cornish air. Relax in the spacious living area in one of the matching two-seater sofas and enjoy the stunning views across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse or enjoy the entertainment including a full Sky package with Movies and Sport. The spacious dining area forms part of the open plan living area, with an open archway into the rear kitchen, so all three areas still enjoy the wonderful sea views. A contemporary oak table and six white chairs are positioned to enjoy dining with a view, as well as being next to the archway to the kitchen allowing guests to socialise with those busy preparing meals. A fully-fitted contemporary rear kitchen has everything you desire with the bonus of uninterrupted views out to sea and across the bay through the archway to the living area. The beautiful bright and airy, master en-suite bedroom has amazing views of the bay. Open the doors to the Juliet balcony and lie back on the luxurious king size bed listening to the waves on the shore below or step through the patio doors and enjoy breakfast ‘al fresco’ on the balcony. A quiet second twin bedroom is situated at the rear of the apartment ensuring a good night sleep. Your own private balcony overlooking the glorious beach below is accessible from the master bedroom or sitting area. A table and chairs are provided for guests to enjoy either alfresco dining or simply experiencing the Cornish sunsets. Truly heaven! The apartment is on the first floor and so we always recommend that children be accompanied when on the balcony. The beach and coastal path to St Ives is easily reached through a beautiful communal garden. The nearby scenic railway stops at the beautiful Cornish fishing village of St Ives and connects you to the rest of breath-taking Cornwall. For a memorable stay in Cornwall, choose Ivory.

Carbis Bay is a picturesque beach community just a short drive from the world-famous St. Ives. The beach is ideal for a classic seaside outing, with turquoise waves and a sheltered setting that creates a nearly subtropical atmosphere. If lounging in the sun isn't your style, you may visit the Ocean Sports Centre located right on the beach and rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to enjoy the water. A day at the spa at the charming hotel with views of the beach and a great terrace for cocktails in the Cornish sun is another option. There are some modest stores and restaurants in Carbis Bay, as well as a fish and chip takeout and a railway branch line. Perhaps one of the most scenic train rides in the country is from Carbis Bay to St. Ives, and the town itself is a fun place to spend the day thanks to its many museums and art galleries. The town of Hayle, situated on the water, is not far away and features a wildlife refuge and a golf course, perfect for a day out with the kids. Coasteering and birding are only two of the many outdoor and watersport activities that may be easily arranged from Carbis Bay, thanks to its proximity to the Godrevy Nature Reserve and the Penwith Heritage Coast. If you're looking for a great vacation spot in Cornwall, go no further than Carbis Bay.

We have been twice before, however over the last 2 years we did struggle to book and went to other beach apartments. These were nice but this is our favourite place and a very special place. Perfect in every way! To have a week has been a real treat, this apartment and the views are stunning. Amazing! We have enjoyed some relaxing time, listening to the sea at night and watching the swimmers, seals & dolphins. We have also enjoyed the local area, some short drives (Lands End , St Michael's Mount) and had some lovely evenings out and amazing food.

We really appreciated the tree and Christmas decorations. Huge selection of crockery and pans made making Christmas dinner very easy. We did park in the wrong space by mistake as we arrived in the dark so maybe mention the parking spaces are non sequential. Would highly recommend and we would definitely stay there again.

This was our first year in Ivory and it far exceeded our expectations and was even better than the photos. We absolutely loved our stay in Ivory as the amenities were all of a great quality with everything we required and more to make our stay comfortable. The cleanliness and the freshness of the elegant decor was much to our liking and in keeping with the location by the sea. We could see that much thought and care had been put into the interior decor. The kitchen was very well equipped with quality glassware and crockery. We love our coffee and were pleased that a coffee machine was available- we brought with us from home several sleeves of Nespresso to find that it was a different machine - a Bosch that required completely different pods. Thank you for the Kenco pods to get us started and we left some for the next visitors but it might be an idea to let your future guests know which sort of machine it is on the amenities list on line. One other small thing was that we switched on the heated towel rails ( as per instructions) in the main bathroom first and then the ensuite at another time and on both occasions the mains power tripped. My husband reset on the board in the hall cupboard. Thought you'd like to know this. Other than that we loved every moment in Ivory. Warm Regards, Ruth and Gordon Phillips
