The sofa is old and worn and seats dipped in the middle the cushions and throws I removed and stored in wardrobe as they were grubby and had seen better days. The oven and oven trays were filthy oven needs deep clean. The dishwasher needs replacing as does not clean properly even on deep clean. The bath tub is a hazard- I filled and emptied this 3-4 times as jets were absolutely filled with mould grime and dirt. I tried to use the bath every day but each time I put the jets on lots of dirt came out even after cleaning it many times myself. Thankfully I tried the jets before getting into the bath as this is a serious hazard if you had any open grazes/ wounds, could cause infection. I reported this to Sykes and sent photos. They apparently sent someone out and said it was resolved but I assure you it’s not. The hot tub outside was very disappointing too, we were really looking forward to using this, the power out of the jets were really poor even when adjusted not powerful at all also the lights do not work on it of a evening anymore so quite dangerous. The Xmas decs were really old and dated. The views are amazing the property could be luxurious if a bit of time and money was spent bringing it back to a high quality rental but I have to say we were very disappointed considering the large sum of money we spent, we would not stay again or recommend unless improvements were made. We stayed in another apartment just behind this property on the end that had the same facilities listed as this but the quality and standard was much higher this was with Cornish gems.

The cleanliness of the house was an issue. In the kitchen, we had to wash pans and dishes before use and the microwave was filthy. And the supplies provided were less than minimal - no spare rubbish bags no spare kitchen paper towels and no silver foil and hand soap 99.9% used. When paying more than £4000 a week one expects more than this. And, the other holiday rental services we have used provide a welcome hamper with all sorts of goodies including bread and eggs and butter and wine etc etc. but as far as I could tell the only things provided were a small box of biscuits and a pint of milk. Not much of a welcome hamper for a £4000+ a week rental. We had to resolve the cleanliness problem ourselves by washing everything, and then, to add insult to injury, Sykes sends a message asking if Sykes has resolved everything by saying that they will tell the "brand." Also, Sykes apologized for the property not being up to the standard I expected on arrival which suggests that the issue was my problem for having excessively high standards. Does not Sykes expect the property to be clean? Does Sykes think that guests should have to wash everything in the kitchen before they can use it?? Your messages were not designed to placate an already unhappy guest.

Amazing views. Close to the beach and coastal path. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The only thing our children were unimpressed by was the wifi (particularly downstairs in the bedrooms) as this frequently cut out. The enormous tv and hot tub were a big hit though. Would love to stay again.
