Carbis Bay, a little seaside village near St Ives, is well-known for its stunning stretch of sugar-white sand beach.. For an old-fashioned beach day, the beach has turquoise waves and sheltered circumstances that make it feel like you're in a subtropical location. Ocean Sports Centre is located on beach, so if sunbathing isn't your thing, why not rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and get out on the ocean instead?

The boutique hotel next door, which has a lovely patio where you can sip cocktails while taking in the view of the beach, offers spa days as an alternative. Small local businesses and eateries, such as Carbis Bay's fish & chip store and railroad branch, may be found in the seaside village. It's hard to imagine a more picturesque way to go to St. Ives from Carbis Bay than by rail.

Also more maintenance needs looking at due to the fact a light fitting in the en-suite fell to the floor, also quite a few light bulbs were out.Bed duvets were far to hot for time of year, and no other options available.

It is so comfortable and very much a home from home for us. The current owners have made good improvements and we especially liked the updated information booklet which made everything easy to understand. It would have been top marks across the board except for the really cramped en suite bathroom. We are quite small people so it’s ok for us but ‘normal’ to bigger people would not be able to use it . There is a shower room which is fine for anyone.
